I wanted to display little gifs of my current town villagers, like many people do in the forums, but I didn't want to use my signature to do it. I thought of a way by putting the gifs into a tumblr post and linking to it in my signature. It was super easy and now you can see at any given time who is living in my village!
I just intended to leave it there, but when I was making the tumblr I found several blogs I just fell in love with and had to follow. Before I knew it I was following over 10 blogs! I then got the idea "oh, i'll just add one or two Animal Crossing pictures to a second post.. " and next thing I know I am two or three posts full of pictures of me playing the game. Then I mentioned to my friends that I was making a tumblr and they decided to follow. In the end I accidentally ended up becoming a tumblr blogger!
I am enjoying it a lot so far, and find myself checking my followed tumblr blogs several times a day for new posts. I plan on adding more pictures as well, since it's so easy to do so from my 3ds as i'm playing it. For those interested in my blog, you can follow it here: Tumblr
I must warn you, it's a very simple tumblr blog, nothing fancy. I don't know if I will ever get fancy with it, with a theme, background or header.. or anything. We'll see.
On another note I've been progressing with my town a little bit. I've almost got the recette .. rece.. reset? ( i can't spell that ) center. I probably will be hanging out in there a lot since it looks nice and cozy underground. I've also decided to create the far left side of my town to be the deep, dark woods, where my camp site is. That way people can appropriately go into the woods to go camping! I need to populate it with a lot more trees though... and I want a way to label the entrance and exit of this area as the woods, but I have no idea how to do that.
As far as I know you can't stick signs and write on them anymore. I thought maybe creating a tile with the art option (how you make clothes) and writing on it, then sticking it on the ground.. but that would look a bit ugly (not good looking at all!) and I would need to create another extra character to store it with! That seems like too much of a hassle. I just would want something that tells the viewer "You are now entering the deep dark woods"... or something.
Anyway, i'll keep trying to be creative with a solution! Ganbatte ne? がんばってね?
