I don't believe it is right to vote for people just because they are a slightly better choice or something. Now, that's a gross philosophy.
You should have more respect for yourself as an individual human being to not take part in something which stands for everything you do not endorse or believe in. Everyone has their own beliefs and thoughts about what is right for the world, and no man or woman in a suit on a little podium with a file of papers is going to take those things away from me.

I know how you feel. But I've come to realize that no one is going to be perfect. And by not voting you're letting other idiots decide your fate for you. At least voting for who you think sucks least is a step in the direction you want.
I really don't agree with that. I understand your point, but I refuse to normalise people and endorse sets of ideas that I do not agree with. It goes against everything I believe in.

I won't be voting for anyone because
A. Voting is nothing but the illusion of choice
B. With Brexit going on and everything going to **** in the UK non of these people can save this country
To be honest I think the reason why Maggie 2.0 has moved the date of the election is because she knows it's all out of her control and she's in a panic or she's got something up her sleeve to get Jeremy Corbyn PM. That way she can dump everything on him seeing as the media and politicians hate him and constantly try to make him look bad anyway. If they get him as PM they can make the public go "oh look, socialism is useless. Capitalism is good" and they can finally get rid of him and keep the public focused on materialistic things and the working class is going to continue to suffer. Just like the rich want.
This is just a little prediction of mine so please don't take it seriously. It just feels to me like that's the jist of what's going to happen but obviously I could be wrong.

what? may called the election because she knew that it would be an incredibly easy tory win. if she the election happened in 2020 as scheduled, that would be the time where the final brexit deal is known, and if it did turn out badly for the UK, it would reflect horribly on the tories. there is also the chance that corbyn does get replaced before 2020 with a competent and electable leader. may saw the opinion polls and saw that this was the best time to call an election for her party. labour had no choice but to agree to the snap election lest they risk political suicide.
so many edgelord "non-conformists" here who have no idea how democracy works. half the ppl here would happily become dictators just so they can put into practice their narrow minded view of how the world should be

I'm not British, but I'd honestly find it hard to figure out who exactly to vote for in this election because I'm a centrist/moderate. I know that Jeremy Corbyn is very liberal and I don't know how far Theresa May leans to the right, so...

I've been watching the UK election stuff with interest. As an Australian the results of the upcoming election will directly impact me much less than the US one did, or the Brexit reality will. But I have friends and family in the UK and I'm worried for them in this political climate.
I'm a "greenie" - a social libertarian (NOT an economic libertarian : I support individual freedom and rights - not free market movement which leads to widespread environmental damage, increasing inequality, and poor outcomes for communities.. with big profits for a certain few), and am fairly solidly "left" on almost all issues. I don't think I've ever voted for a conservative candidate or party at any level and given my priorites, it's not likely I ever will. In my country the right is infamous for gutting education at all levels every chance they get. Not to mention healthcare, social welfare, support and community services... and yet somehow there's always an urgent need to give big business and/or extremely high income earners another tax break. Funny that.

Being able to vote is a massive privilage that people have died for. It's not something we should just take for granted.
That said, I do understand Bowie's stance on the matter - I just don't agree with it.
Coming from someone who has told me very explicitly before they doesn't believe in freedom of speech, I find it a little strange that they think anyone besides themselves would end up as dictators. But that's another matter entirely.
Nobody is perfect, but the last guy we had liked having sex with pigs (and I can't even remember whether it was a dead pig or an alive pig), so now I have to be extra careful regarding the people I vote for. And nobody right now in British politics appeals to me at all, and I do not feel comfortable endorsing people like that and normalising them.
That's all I have to say.
