'Ugly' Villager Appreciation Thread

I've seen Benjamin on a few "ugly villagers lists" and I just don't understand! He's so precious and adorable!

On the other hand, Chops moved into my town and I was so upset because I hated his design. Then he said some funny dialogue, invited a few other villagers over to his house and said some suspicious / sketchy stuff, and now I basically headcanon that he's planning on overthrowing Nook and taking over the island for himself. Based on his dialogue, I am his loyal follower that he orders around to carry out his will lmao. Honestly, I'm here for it and I absolutely refuse to let him move away now!

Chops and Boone are my buddies in my town at the moment I love their sense of humour, I don't get where the hate comes from

Stinky. He's like trash cat covered in vomit but you just wanna love him.

I like Moose. He was a starter villager in my town Fireleaf. I didn't like him at first, but as time went on he started to really grow on me. I especially liked his house, and he gave a lot of good dialogue. Though I planned on having him leave eventually, when he finally asked to move, I couldn't do it. He is now a permanent resident of my town (which has sort of been abandoned since NH released but I might play again).

I don't know if people think he's ugly - in fact I have never seen anyone talk about him at all - but I think Croque is super cool

I had Rizzo living in my town for some time. He is a sweetheart. He also used to stay next to Chadder so that was a fun combination.

His X'd out eyes, his crude patchwork, the garish color scheme. It's the kind of creepy/cute aesthetic that suits me to a T. Failing that, there's also literally Satan himself, who makes me smile every time I see him.

Frita and Pietro. I especially see loads of people not liking Pietro on Tik Tok. Wish they'd make more rainbow villagers

I see a lot of people calling Moe ugly but I think he's one of the best cat villagers!

My favorite 'ugly' villager would be Anicotti. I liked her since the moment I met her back on the GameCube and quite frankly, I don't see anything ugly about her. I think she's adorable. But the mouse villagers as a whole seem to be considered ugly by most people.

I also love a lot of the species that are considered ugly by most: apes, hippos, rhinos, mice, monkeys, anteaters, frogs. There will always be a place for 'ugly' villagers in my towns. ❤

Vladimir lives on my island at the moment. While I'd like to swap him out for Kabuki, he WAS a dreamie for a while, and is currently the oldest resident on the island. I also have Katt as a perma, but it's mostly because I don't care for any of the other uchi's. I like that Katt is outwardly tomboyish in appearance and I think that fits the uchi personality.

i love love love most of the bears, which a lot of people either look over or dislike. Nate, grizzly, ursula, tutu- i would say Megan too but i know someone irl who’s name is megan and it kinda weirds me out lol, but anyways they’re all just so soft and pudgy and squishy looking i love them all
