a whole DISASTER

i put down a plot today and went to another town to invite dizzy to my island (the person i adopted him from got him from a mystery island and did the natural move-out method, so it's not an amiibo issue)- he said he'd come, but i just checked the plot i put down and it says that the spot is reserved for hippeux's new home? has anyone had this issue? will dizzy move in or will hippeux?

also... if hippeux moves in... i'm going to be SO sad.... yikes

i had nine, put down the 10th plot for dizzy, immediately went and adopted him, and i just checked (like 6? hrs later?) the plot and it says hippeux bought it

that is really strange. something similar happened to my friend, but she only had eight plots, she laid a ninth to invite Mitzi, but Deirdre moved in instead. She built the tenth plot the next day and Mitzi took that one.

oof i wish i had another space because maybe he'd move in to that one. maybe hippeux pulled a fast one on me and bought the plot in the literal 5minutes between when i placed the plot and dizzy said he'd come :''') ripperoni

I had to take in Hippeux because he was the first to enter my campsite, still trying to get him out. I feel your pain.

I've never heard of this happening, it's suppose to take a day for a random villager to claim a spot. That's a yikes, did you visit anyone else that day before your friend? If you picked up a villager from someone's void I think they'll claim any open plot you have.
