U.S. Intellectual property seems to be respected and used more effectively elsewhere. I just found this car commercial that uses characters from Wacky Races.
Than there was car commercial with the cast of the 80's D&D cartoon.
There was also Johnny Bravo Bollywood special I've never seen.
Speaking of unexpected adaptations, It's funny when Powerpuff Girls Z is a way better adaptation than the 2016 reboot of Powerpuff Girls and the soon-to-be either canceled or released CW live action Powerpuff Girls show.
When I was little, I LOVED Freaky Friday with Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis. (Might be a bit problematic, though, with the whole thing being a “Chinese spell” from a fortune cookie.)
I saw the original 1970s movie later on and it was terrible! I also didn’t vibe with the book either lol.
