Also I've always wondered how buying clothing from the Able Sisters ended up making it orderable by Nook's catalogue... Would anyone find it too annoying to have to go to the Able Sisters' shop to order clothes or would that be an okay change to people?

I would have no problem with that! It might make me visit Kicks every now and then (assuming he's back. but I don't go in his shop anymore, since I've completed his portion of the catalogue).

I agree with some of the others here. When unable to order an item, it highlights that it's more valuable. Name brand Gracie Grace items aren't going to realistically be at Nooklings, though it'd be funny to see knock-off Gracie fashion, like how there are art forgeries in the game. Like, the real thing is shown on catalogue, but when you order it, a mockery shows up that all the villagers comment on being fake. The snooties would have fun with that. haha. Though, maybe the lazies wouldn't catch on.

Also, if holiday items were easy to get through catalogue, it would make holidays less exciting.

I think that'd be a good change. Inconvenient maybe for some, but it would make sense. I'm pretty sure I'd easily adjust.

That may be true, but these items kinda lost their value in the ACNL days too. On sites like GameFAQs and Reddit, items like the Snowman Series and Sloppy Series have been commonly duped due to how hard they are to get. Making them orderable would make them less valuable, but duping has kinda destroyed their value. Good thing that TBT doesn’t allow selling duped or hacked items, and Nintendo patched the duping bug, but the Snowman items are almost impossible to get.

nah the exclusivity of some of the items makes them more rewarding to get (+ you can sell them for more tbt hahaha)

I wish, since I have a major issue with hoarding any and all unorderables I come across "just in case". To the point where my entire closet was filled with them and the only relief I got was when the secret storage space was introduced, then I filled some of that too, but still had room for things I needed. Did any of the unorderables ever get used? No. I just wanted to have them in case I wanted them later on, since I knew I couldn't buy them back. It's a problem

Not everything should be orderable. I like to have some special items you can't get so easy.
