Uploading animated images. How?

I've seen that a few people on here are using gifs as their avatar. I actually just now tried doing that myself, but it wouldn't allow me to do so. Is there a reason for this? I AM new to this site. Do I need to be at a higher level/experience? I'm just so clueless at the moment. Haha.

you use forum bells to buy it

forum bells are accumulated by posting

You need to buy an avatar GIF extension in the shop (for 800 or 899 TBT)

it depends on the length of your post, short posts earn 1 bell or maybe a fraction depending on which section you post and long posts can earn up to 9(?). you can also check out the TBT marketplace and buy them with in game bells

This isn't quite correct. The amount of bells you'll earn per post varies depending on the length and quality of your post. I've earned anywhere from 1-12 bells per post, so there's definitely the potential to earn quite a bit of bells per day simply by posting frequently.

To see how many bells you're earning per post, just click Currency > Transactions in the nav bar, as seen here:



That'll show you a detailed list of how many bells you've earned.

i forget the amount, somewhere btwn 700-1000?

Nice! I didn't realize you could extend its size. Honestly though, I've yet to even pay the shop a visit. Haha. I guess I should do that, just to know what all I could do/get. Is there another size upgrade after that one?
