I'm pretty sure OP is referring to people who actually use other languages as an accessory to sound cute to the point of fetishizing other languages for ~aesthetics~. For example, non-Japanese people calling themselves and others senpai or (name)-chan/san/sama/etc. and shouting "kawaii" and "sugoi" at things, or non-Korean people calling people oppa, noona, unnie, etc. That's gross and makes you look like an ass.

Sure, if they are okay with it or if they've asked you to. Words like unnie/noona/umma/oppa are usually exchanged between two Korean people who are very close and for specific reasons (for example, "oppa" is for an older brother or a male who is both very close to you and older than you), so if you're using it to some random kpop idol who you've never met then you look silly.

Not really, that one's more like the oppositesince -ssi/-sshi is like "Sir" or "Miss". Because of that it would be weird to use it towards minors though.

It's also only for people with equal or lower social status so like don't address higher ups like the President or something as "President Whoever-ssi" lmao

I mean, if theyre being respectful or w/e about it and not going all "ching chong i speak chinese now xD" (or similar stuff,... like you know, if theyre actually learning the language it's cool) i dont really see a problem w/ it..?
i think itcan be really silly how tshirts have prints in japanese or any other language jsut for the ~aesthetic~ but idk i don't really see how it is fetishing the language and/or culture... it can be a bit obnoxious and/or weeb-y ofc but, like, just speaking korean because you're learning it isn't bad in itself.

one of my friends had a girlfriend who was a huge fan of kpop & would just talk about how korean boys are so attractive & tried to speak the language all the time. it's not disgusting. but people like that annoy me

i have a friend who is rly into kpop atm and she is kind of like that now. it is a bit weird and annoying tbh but i know she doesnt mean any harm to anyone so i dont really care.

uh lol i mean.. fetishizing them is a little extreme to say. i mean my friends and i all say we would **** people because they're so awesome or w/e as a joke... so i guess i'm fetishizing all of my idols then? yikes.

anyways.. if they speak the language i mean who cares? they're having fun and whatever else. i don't think it's disrespectful for them to do it at all or anything either.
