Although this game has its share of cons (like talking to villagers has been nerfed), and none (I believe) of the music is original, it's a great game overall. It's already my favorite one of the three.

It's a good game, but whereas I would play ACGC for hours and hours and hours (I once played 20 hours, only stopping briefly to make foods), I only seem interested in CF for 1-2 hours at a time.

I believe that CF is somewhat like a combination of both WW and GC editions of the game. Since I have only watched my brother play the GC and started on WW, I say that CF is my favorite out of the three. If people do not like the game so far, I suggest for you to give it a try.

i think it's disheartening for IGN to give it a 7.5, supposing that we were so hyped up for it, but since I haven't played the AC series since the GC version, I should be fine with it.

this game at least deserves an 8, nothing lower. They improved upon some things especially quick-swap tools! I feel the need to interact witht he villager more, grr they should've added more to that I believe.

Graphics: 8/10- They really improved on Animal crossings formula for graphics, without taking away from the cute appeal that it keeps, some things look painfully 2d though

Sound: 6/10- Completely unoriginal soundtrack, im quite disappointed, the city and such have new music, but overall its just a WW rehash, on the upside more actual gameplay sounds have been added here and there

Gameplay:9/10- Classic Animal Crossing, though they brought back the holidays from Gamecube, added some, and took some Wild world ones too, theres many more events now

Playability:9/10- With WiiSpeak, Wifi, dozens of holidays and events, and downloadable content on its way, if you play the game the way it was meant to be played, youll have fun with it for a long time.

Closing comment: The game really is a combination of the Gamecube one and Wild World, with a few tweaks here and there, if you were a fan of the first two, its worth a look, if you've never played Animal Crossing, this is also a great time to jump into the series. The rehasing is a bit of a disappointment, but the big fans of AC can look past it and find the new content and smooth wifi will certainly make it its own game as well.

Hmmmm sounds good. Can't wait to get it. Is the music that bad? :smilecry:
it's pretty much just the same music from wild world. not reorchestrated or anything, just the exact same.

I think the Wild World music fits in better with this game than WW.

I think the music seems to blend with the game better in City Folk than in Wild World.

Ok, that makes more sense. Ah, good to know then.

I want the old GC tracks back, they were the best.
Also, dumming down the villagers ENEV MORE on a MORE POWERFUL system is absolutely unforgivable. For these two reasons alone, and that they didn't give us anything cool like a bigger town, more geographical features or the like, I can see why IGN would lowered this to a 7.5... I might have even gone lower, but I'll still get this game anyway.
have I rambled long enough?

one more thing of the utmost importance; soup

The city folk town is almost double the size of the wild world town...

bananas > soup.

I agree with that soup-addict, pinecone2654.

It was remotely dissapointing, and I don't really know who Nintendo thinks they're fooling.

So many things were messed with, that shouldn't have been messed with.

The townsfolk have less of a brain then they ever did, there was no original music besides the 2 City Songs...

...and the bell-rocks don't even turn red anymore. ) =

But, it isn't un-playable. I'm still playing it pretty often. With the magic of the "mute" button, and the power of the Animal Crossing GC soundtrack on iTunes...maybe we can make this work.

You know what the funny thing is, though? The more I play this game, the more I want to play the old one...
