Using the reset trick on villagers you asked to move in.

Some kind person gave me Joey, one of my dreamies today. ^-^ Tomorrow he is going to be moving in, so I was wondering if I used the reset trick to make sure his house didn't crush any of my hybrids, would I lose him? When you use the reset trick on a random villager who has moved in, it changes their house placement AND the villager. I want to make sure that if I reset, that won't happen.

Nope , It only changes the placement.

No, you can do the reset trick as many times as you like and it will always be him and he will always have a plot somewhere.
