VCD Center #39

Never played any of those games, doubt I'll download any of them anytime soon.

Although I'll be the first one to tell you to try out new stuff, you're absolutely right. The only reason I recommended Art Of Fighting is because it's borderline competent, and I actually played it and enjoyed it. But as I said... none of these games are worth it because...

gasp...

the sequels got better.

Nice work, Bul. I'll be getting Fatal Fury just to start off with. I realize many of the later games were better, but this was one of the first fighters and I'd like to support the new system.

:) Besides, I have a good amount of points hanging out on my system.

I DEFINITELY wish that were the case for me, hahaha. XD

Yes I do agree with you, trying new things is always excellent however a lot of the fighting games of the past are the same old thing if you think about it. Maybe if they release something unique and diffrent from a lot of other games, than I'll buy something.

Well, at least the Neo Geo games are up (something I was waiting for patiently for a very long time).

I wasn't really planning on getting any this week in the first place, I'm still figuring out what Wii game I need to exclude from my "going to buy for sure" list so that I can get some more Wii Points (I need SMB2J and S&P!).

BTW Bul, nice reviews as usual!

Hehe, yeah I'm certainly not complaining. Before the Fatal Fury download I had 6800 ...

:)

D: D: D:

Dang. I'd never be able to keep so many Points on my account for that long. I've got 1500 spare Points lying around right now, but I don't have an urge to use them. Best to save them for the likely release of Zombies Ate My Neighbors right before Halloween, or perhaps Earthbound...

Can't help but lawlz at that.

Must agree with you there.
That "lawls" is very erroneous on your part, JJ. ZAMN has already been rated by the ESRB, and my rep told me to expect "scary" (I'm guessing we're veering into B-movie territory here) games for the Monday before Halloween, and ZAMN just seems like a perfect pick...

Along with Castlevania II, that is.

Oh, oops. I was under the impression you thought ZAMN was an unlikely release...

No, I just found that amusing.

Yeah I know what you mean. To be honest, I thought I'd have spent them before now, too. I've downloaded I decent amount of games, but I'm really trying to limit myself to games I don't already own and also just trying to be sure I get good quality games. Like you, too, I'm looking forward to some future releases (ZAMN is definitely one!). If you're right about Earthbound, too, I'll snag that later this year.

Really it's just that I have soooo many games I need to finish now and real-life being particularly busy is what's keeping me from spending more.

:)

How the heck is Uniracers niche? It has a HUGE fanbase.
Uhm... a huge niche fanbase. It still hasn't gone mainstream.
I'm sick of feeling dumb in this thread, but what's niche?
Well... like a cult following. A niche game is a game that was only popular with a select few gamers, but it wasn't viewed in the same light as, say, Mario. Heck, some of the niche games I've spotlighted are virtually unknown, and only a select few have heard about them, let alone played them.
