I'm a total noob here, and there's a lot of great stuff here that I don't really understand. I'm also confused on words like TBT and many others, because I don't know what they mean. I would also want information on what the forum has.

hello! when people say 'tbt' they're either referring to the forum itself, like 'welcome to tbt', or our forum currency that is displayed underneath your avatar picture. For example, if someone says 'i'll sell this for 50tbt' they're referring to our currency.
you can use this currency to buy forum collectibles from the shop or in the tbt marketplace, and even items and bells in game. In fact, for every 100tbt, you can get 20 million in-game bells.

that is correct! the exchange rate tends to get higher, but it's currently at 20million per 100tbt.

You can post on the "tbt marketplace"
Just post "Tbt for in game bells" and someone will make you an offer for your tbt

after you've done what @Universaljellyfish suggested, the person who would like to give you in-game bells for your tbt will visit your town via 3DS friendcode and drop the bells in your town. you then send them tbt by clicking on their amount of bells underneath their avatar picture and typing in what you'd like to send.
