Hi, I just have a quick question. I have decided the wardrobes I want for each of my villagers (based on their styles and colour preferences), however I have noticed a few of my villagers don't have a 'wardrobe' item in their homes. Some of them constantly revert back to wearing their default clothes, some don't (though all clothes I gift fit the 'perfect gift' category). Do all villagers need a wardrobe in their homes in order to cycle through clothes?
They don't. Tank doesn't have a wardrobe in his home and he wears the only shirt I have ever given him a lot. He does switch back to his default occasionally. The wardrobe doesn't even display all the clothes in their closet
Kid Cat doesn't have a wardrobe, neither does Ankha but they always cycle through the clothes I give them.
From what I've heard, their wardrobe can hold up to 24 pieces of clothes before the older clothes get erased from their wardrobe.
However, they will always have their default clothes no matter how many clothes you give them.
Yup, like others have said, villagers don't need a physical wardrobe to be able to cycle through clothing (I can confirm this with Sly, Ankha, Snake, and others on my island). Its more of an "inventory" rather than a wardrobe/closet.
