You can have the same villager without doing the 16 villager rotation as long as it's the same exact villager you had. Like, if someone were to take her Lolly, hold her till she wanted to move out, then she could get her back and that'd work.

Pretty sure this was determined to be false--it has to be the 16 rotations. @-@

Really? I read that someone on Gamefaqs proved it true. He had a villager move into his sister's town, then that same villager moved back into his. That's exactly what I'm going to do with my Olaf, who moved into my brother's town on accident and I'll take him back when he's ready to move. :0 I hope it works because that's what I was planning on! I'll definitely post my results though.
