Villager furniture

Now that the recycling center is no more, if I want furniture that a villager has, what's the best way to go about it?

Wait until they invite you over, then when you go over there, you can keep talking to them until they ask if you want to buy anything, and then choose what you want. You cannot buy an item that is above or underneath another item. Also, can't buy wall items if there is a furniture item blocking it.

Sometimes they also have items they won't be willing to sell. Usually when a villager replaces their furniture they'll have it in their 'inventory' and you'll be able to get it as a reward for doing a chore or something.

I noticed sometimes when I mail furniture to my villagers, they will replace sometimes replace something in their home with it, and put the replaced item in retail. If you try that, make sure you send an item thats the same size as what your trying to get.
But id also be careful cause i suppose theirs a chance they wont put it in retail...
