So I have one last slot on my list of villagers I want to achieve on my island. I have been thinking for a long time who the last villager should be. There are so many great ones out there. Well today I came up with an interesting idea. What if my last villager has an interest in pottery and gyroid farming? It would end up being a pretty neat yard. So now, I need ideas of who would be a good candidate for this idea. I know Coco is an obvious good idea but I am not a big fan of Coco in general.
My current goal list consists of Megan, Molly, Beardo, Shari, Elmer, Dom, Baabara, Vic and Carmen.

So, who in your opinion would be good villagers for a pottery/clay/gyroid interest who don't mind getting their hands dirty farming and raising gyriods? lol :)

Well the villager that comes to my mind is Clay. He's a bit creepy looking but his name is Clay, he might fit what you're looking for.
And he has the nature hobby.

If you are going by your goal list, I would probably say Molly. She also has the nature hobby.

I have to agree that Clay is the best candidate next to Coco. He is based on Japanese dogū, which are small figurines made of clay. Another one is Roswell. He looks like a clay figure to me.

Otherwise, you could go and pick villagers with mud-like colors, such as Claude, Anchovy, Camofrog, O'Hare, or Wart Jr.

Graham could also work for his nerdy/collector look.

These are some good suggestions. I didn't even think about the nature hobby or considering the hobby aspect which I really should have and I forgot about Clay. Poor Clay lol.
I was looking through villagers with the nature hobby, and the site I am looking at says that sisterly villagers mention they like gardening but they don't have the nature hobby. I do remember Shari saying she likes flowers.
Also, it is too bad that I already have two normal villagers, and I am not really wanting to have more than one lazy at a time on my island.

I do like the suggestion of Avery, and my mind also goes to Amelia even though she is snooty and has a music hobby. I couldn't really imagine her being ok with clay at first thought, but she does have similar vibes to Avery. Both living in a dusty rocky area afterall and same house music. I actually have room on a cliff that would be perfect for an eagle with the pottery/gyroid interest.
I do feel like the default houses of villagers do give some clues about unsaid things. Speaking of which, I prefer Soleil's house from new leaf better than new horizons. With her tarnation phrase, I can imagine her not having a problem with getting some dirt on her hands and raising gyroids. Soleil has the education hobby like Coco. It may be kinda cool to see a villager looking at gyroids with a magnifying glass.
Margie also has the education hobby however I read that at some point in the Animal Crossing past, Margie enjoyed fossil hunting. She always appeared as something ceramic or clay painted to me honestly.
Roswell does kinda look like a clay figure. There is this stone that reminds me of clay that kinda resembles Roswell. It is called Stromatolite or Calligraphy Stone.
Maggie is a pig and she seems to like gardening. She has the nature hobby. I actually considered her before because I thought it may be kinda cute to have some mush stuff since pigs can be known to be truffle hunters. I am not sure how I would like 3 normal villagers on my island though and I liked Molly more than Maggie but not for this gyroid idea. Molly will be by a lake though.
Avery, Amelia, Soleil, Maggie, Roswell, Margie, Molly, Clay, Coco
Hmm, I think I am going to consider Amelia, Avery, Margie, or Maggie.
I think it may come down to Amelia or Maggie for me honestly... something to think about.

I could have Shari be into the clay gyroid nursery stuff. She is sisterly. Actually it turns out I found her today. I would still need one more villager on my island though since I would only have 9. I was going to have Shari have a tiki bar thingy by Kapp'n. I think I may ditch that because the gyroid idea is pretty cool and I can't decide a villager. Plus I thought of the idea today that I could have the cosmos shower thingy over the gyroid planting area which made me think of plant nurseries. Fitting for a sisterly.

That all sounds so cool and unique! Glad to see Shari fronting this too, she's not one I see a lot of, but she's been with me on NH since day 1. Honestly, awesome idea, please take pics!

I will when I get to that point. I have to get the diys and stuff for it still. Shari is one of my favorites. She was my starter in my original playthrough when it launched. It would be nice seeing somewhere else beyond the beach. It's just funny how I found her during this discussion.

I was looking at villagers that have some pottery in their to go with the theme of pottery and gyroids in their house. Like others mentioned, Clay has quite a bit of pottery in his house so that would go with the theme. Another one I saw was Colton - he doesn’t have a ton, only a few pieces but if you gift him some it would go well. Lastly, and one of my favorite is Anhka. She doesn’t go perfectly with with the theme, but her house is Egyptian, historical and gold-themed and I think that goes along with pottery. You could gift her other pieces as well. I have a bit of a preference for cat villagers, lol.
