Villager Hobbies in NH

I never knew that villagers had hobbies in NL but I am wondering if they will be an established thing again.

I am still confused if they would change them occationally or if they had the same one all the time. Looks like a new thing to journal about!

i think it would be weird if they removed parts of villagers' personalities rather than expanded upon them, so i definitely think hobbies will be a conversation topic they can bring up and which are individual to the villager.

Some hobbies are more common with certain personalities, for sure. I always have Skye and most of the time her hobby normally was gardening. Normal personalities seem to get the gardening hobby very frequently. However, Skye did have a seashell hobby at some point.

These are the kind of details I love! Honestly the more variance the better: wouldn?t it be neat if the gardening Villagers had a preference for specific flower types? Or Villagers had favorite spots to walk to and hang out at?

If it means anything to you, I always had Skye's house beside mine in New Leaf and she seemed to mostly only water my Pansies... and plant way too many roses. <_<

wow, i never knew villagers actually had hobbies! i always thought if it was mentioned that it was just apart of their personality’s dialogue but i think it’s super cool that it’s individualized!

i definitely hope that they don’t remove it in new horizons but maybe even expand on it a little

It seems as though they will be expanding on this! The villagers have a lot more little hobbies you can see them perform, and the fact our first two villagers will be uchi and jock exclusively suggests the personalities play larger roles in the game!

I’m not sure if it’s coincidence but in my New Leaf town, Diana always goes to sit on the log bench I placed in the middle of my perfect apple trees orchard. That place is hidden and surrounded by trees and seldom frequented by villagers except for her. What’s strange is that she doesn’t even live near there but I always find her sitting there, sometimes napping. She never does that in any other parts of the town.
