Villager not moving in

First of all, sorry if this is the wrong thread! But!
I gave my friend an Ankha that I amiibod in and amiibod out, but she's TT'd a few days and Ankha still hasn't moved in. The plot says it's sold to her though. I'm worried I broke her game somehow. Is there any way to fix this?

I think they might have screwed something up in the last patch. Somebody else had a thread because their empty plot isn’t filling at all.

Maybe let the day actually pass by in real time and see if it's resolved by tomorrow?
