Villager personalities and dialogue - What needs to be changed?

I want more personality types, but I feel there needs to be more work on the delivery of conversations to the player. Lets say you talk to a lazy character, and he uses 'lazy personality conversation 608'. Lazy personality conversation 608 would now be shuffled basically to the bottom of the 'deck' of conversation options and you're not going to see it again for a looooong time. I'm sick of literally seeing the same conversation ONE AFTER ANOTHER.

The devs should also make use of the ability to update their game. The conversations in animal crossing are honestly quiet short, so I think adding 100 new conversation strains per personality per quarter of the year for the first year or two is not impossible.

I also think it makes more sense for them to just let the localising teams handle dialogue again instead of translating everything. I think sometimes the localising team gets things wrong (og marina for the first few weeks of the game of splatoon 2 was basically a completely different character) but I think really, they did it before, they can use translations for npc dialogue but letting the localising team handle villagers is way more time efficient to add more dialogue.

^Was ad-libbing what the translations did for GC and WW? That's interesting, I would have thought that the original games had a lot of dialogue, proved difficult to translate in time, and the dialogue in later games became shorter and staler due to internationalization. I'd like to see the translation team get creative again, then.
