Heres a trick i use to place my vilagers it works 95% of the time.

First you need to place patterns on the ground where you don't want new neighbors to move in.
A house is 3x3 or 9 squares,So when you place your patterns on the ground where you don't want your neighbors
it will force a move like in chess where the player is forced to move there chess piece to another spot.
Next when your new neighbor moves in the'll be a chance that they moved to the right place.

I Can give you all my dream code when i update my town so you can all take a look at my setup.

Trust me it will be a big help.

My dream code is 5600-2867-3729

Thanks

Your wrong thats how ive been doing it for the last month.

Just check out my town and try it yourself.

She's right, Villagers have moved onto my Paths while I've been doing the Reset Trick.

Yep, it won't work. Villagers can move right in the middle of the path. This doesn't help at all

You wanna tell me I'm a liar?

It might work sometime because there are several other spots a villager can go to. I noticed this myself when I was resetting the game to make sure a new villager moved in on a good spot and not in my flowerbed. Patterns definitely don't prevent someone from moving in, only a public project can do that.

Seriously, you'd think they were attracted to patterns -- I don't have a lot of patterns on the ground but my friend does and she gets them on her paths every time (and that's with resetting!)

Here is proof. I had a huge area were I had a players house (Large enough for a villagers house for sure) and Maple's house lands here.

I decided to delete one of my characters so I could reset where she put her house (thank you to those that told me how to do it) I had to reset 3 times to get her into the right spot. Thank you for your help.

Mine destroy paths and plants more often than not during resets.

ahahhaha maybe we should all just plant hybrids and patterns where we WANT villagers to go since they're so attracted to them in the first place. Did anyone try this method? :p

I accidentally did this today!! I invited ankha in from my friend's town yesterday, and then got everything ready to do the plot reset this morning. EXCEPT I forgot to pull up the hybrids I was breeding right where I wanted her house. Sure enough, on the very first try there she was where I wanted her! Squashing my hybrids but oh well.

I think we've found the secret!!

And you'd think Maple, out of all villagers, has heart for flowers and nature.

That's what they want you to think. And that's when she moves into the worst possible location.
