According the the jp animal crossing new horizons website, amiibo are also used to get villager posters (like photos?)

I like this idea, I wonder if they’ll have villager pictures again but I always wanted to be able to put them on the wall, especially after accumulating a lot. Thanks for the new villager images as well, I’ve barely heard anything about them!

I have a feeling that they will have both pictures and posters. I think the posters are fun! I'm going to see if any friendships form betwen my villagers and maybe I'll give them posters of each other if we can get multiple and it isn't a one time purchase. It doesn't look like it would be, but you never know.

That picture right underneath the Able Sisters clothing try on booth is making me think that we will see some sort of Shampoodle shop return. That is a lot of hair colors and the display looks similar to what they are doing with the Able Sisters.

It would be cool if you could atleast get posters for amiibo outside the ac series if they cant do a unique specific item . Imagine having posters of your smash mains

Between these posters and other amiibo goodies, updates, Pocket Camp items, etc. it's going to be tough (if not impossible) for people to complete their catalogues this time around.

I really like the pictures so I hope they return as well! I don't know whether I expect them to or not with the posters being here. If the pictures aren't back, hopefully the posters are earned in a similar way to the pictures in NL.
