Villagers do ask for favors

I’ve had trouble loading this site lately, so I’m not sure if this has been posted yet. Sorry if it has. But since I saw some people wondering about this a few days ago, I figured I would make a thread.

A lot of people have been wondering if villagers can ask you for favors, and I’m here to say they can! I’ve time traveled so I’m not sure if they can do this straight from the beginning or not, but it is at least in the game. It does seem to be rare though compared to New Leaf. At first I didn’t think it was in the game because of how rare it seems to be, but it’s there. I’ve also had to talk to my villagers a few times in a row before they asked me to deliver something for them.

I haven’t had anyone ask me to catch them a particular type of bug or fish yet, so I’m not sure if that’s in the game or not.

Also, villagers can get sick again. Idk if anyone has brought that up yet but I figured I would mention it anyways.

But yeah. I just wanted to share that cause I saw some people worried about this and I wanted to let people know.

They do ask you for fish and bugs during conversation, i got around 3 or 4 requests so far and it is nice to know they still ask you to deliver stuff, too.
Last request was from Plucky who wanted a crucian carp.

Yes, Reneigh mentioned she was looking for a black bass, and I was then given an option to catch it for her, or to encourage her to catch it herself.

Then when I was talking to Biff he asked to buy a fish I had in my inventory, which I thoughtlessly obliged - it suddenly dawned on me that villagers may fill their houses with fish/bugs if you agree to these kinds of requests!

I've been dying to check Biff's home but he just wants to play outside :/ UPDATE: I managed to visit him and the fish was NOT displayed! Yay!

Pashima wanted a warf roach from me and it was raining (so none came out) but I made it a mission to get her one that was the first time she asked for anything.

Yeah I got a "request" today from Hazel. It was a treasure hunt but it got noted in the Nook Miles system as a request. (you get nook miles from completing villager requests)

I got to type in a response to Bones' question today!! That's new, and I like it a lot.

I got a request from Renée on day two to catch her a fish, so they do ask early on!
