Villagers Popularity Poll

Hello! I made a poll to try and determine which villagers are the most popular in New Horizons. Data is better though with more responses, so I'm hoping to find a few more people to vote in it. Would you be up for voting? I'll post the results in a few days!

Round 1 Results:
117 responses
Voters could choose as many villagers as they wanted.
Marshal in the lead, accompanied by Ankha, Fauna, and Marina.
Limberg was the least favorite, as the only villager with zero votes.

Round 2 Results:
110 responses
Voters could choose up to ten villagers.
Marshal in the lead, accompanied by Lolly and Ankha.
Apple was the least favorite, with only 6 votes.

Round 3 Results:
74 responses
Voters could choose up to five villagers.
Marshal won by just one vote, with Raymond, Marina, and Coco tied for second.
Beau and Ketchup came in last with only 9 votes each.

Cats won most popular species by a large margin, followed by Deer and Squirrels.
Gorillas won least popular by an even larger margin, followed by... well, nothing, because the second place option (Mice) is an entire 21 votes behind gorillas. Poor gorillas.

Marshal in the lead by four votes, Sherb in second, and Marina in third.
Raymond came in last with only 13 votes.

I just have a question...

How many villagers are we going down to?

Also, if you’re doing this for fun it doesn’t matter, but people can create multiple Google accounts and skew the results.

As someone who runs a villager popularity contest on here (that is for fun, when you see the results you’ll know why... ), I THINK I have an idea as to who will move on.

@Bk1234 Oh cool! I need to take a look at your contest, that's awesome I'm planning on doing a much shorter poll (done by the end of the week probably). It'll be cool to compare the results from this one to the results from yours, I'm curious whether they'll be different.

@Boccages So, preliminary results! Marshal is currently winning most popular with 54 results with Ankha in second place at 50. Limberg is the least popular, as the only villager with zero votes (out of 112 responses).

I think I'll move to Round 2 tomorrow and post a spreadsheet that summarizes the results so far. Thank you everyone for voting!

No offense to you OP, it's nice you set this up, it's just annoying that the fandom consistently proves that there's never any variety.

I was actually quite surprised by some of the results on this poll. Apple received quite a lot of votes, which I was surprised by!

@Bk1234 Oh yeah, that's weird, I see that Diana is one of the top ones for yours! Diana only got 34 votes for round 1, and now in round 2 she currently has ten votes (which is still a ways behind Lolly and Marshal, who each have about twice as many). That's really strange.
I think I got most of my responses from AC subreddits, maybe reddit doesn't like Diana lol.

Hey, just out of curiosity, how many people usually take your poll each week? I bet you get better data because you run each round for longer. That's really cool that you've put all this time into it!

@BigBadButterfree Yeah, that's fair, there's not a whole lot of variety in the results I guess (other than the Diana-thing mentioned above). But hey, consistent data is good data! ... but not very interesting data, heh

My polls are exclusively done on TBT, so I usually get around 70 votes per week. The first week I got close to 90 though. I will share my data after the winner is crowned, which will be next week (I can’t believe it! )
