Visiting Celeste in someone else's town?

So I see a lot of people say that Celeste is visiting so they're allowing people to come and talk to her- why? I assumed it was because she would give you a recipe for a star-themed object, but when I went to a town with Celeste and spoke to her, she didn't give me anything. Thanks!

Celeste doesn't only visit during meteor showers, and if people are having a meteor shower, I think they usually mention that rather than Celeste visiting.

You will get a recipe from her in a friend's town if she hasn't given you one anywhere else that day yet. You can only get one from her a day, but it doesn't have to be in your town.

Yeah I was on my boyfriend's island last night and Celeste was there, she gave me the recipe for a Star Wall.

You can get a recipe from her in any town but just once a day.
