I wanted to restart too because of my map + my villagers just a few days ago, but then I realised that my map is not really horrid and that my villagers will leave the town soon or later. So think twice before restarting !

I don't mind about villagers... A good town map is more important, ahaa.

I see nothing wrong with restarting.
Think long term; things like villagers, house upgrades, museum, etc. can be regained.
However, your map and face are permanent! So I feel it's more important to be happy with those before anything else.

My perfect town:::
Re-Tail close to the pier
Town tree in the centre, or as close as possible
Straight river
And an added bonus would be lovely villagers :3

Just reset and got this...
The river is basically straight all the way through
Obviously this is backwards so the beach is actually on the right.

I chose the 3rd face from the top (little round eyes) I restarted to get the top face.

I may have to re-restart again. Not sure I'm too happy with my map.
I also see nothing wrong with restarting. Especially since this is a long term game. It's something I am going to be playing probably until they come out with a new one so I need to be 100% satisfied with my face and my map. Villagers come and go but map and face are super important to me.

Yeap I think the 1st set of eyes is the most popular. By choosing the other ones I was trying to be a bit more unique. I guess I went temporarily stupid and forgot about hairstyles, eye colous, hair colour, accessories etc that can make you individual anyways.
Those ones are my moms fav. I agree they are super cute
Ugh why can't this game make my life easy and give me AWESOME maps so I don't have to reset 100 times lol.
I spent around 5+ hours yesterday Time travelling and finally got my kicks+Shampoodle+Garden shop.
My map is good. I don't like it as much as my other one but I think that is just nostalgia and once I spend more time in it, I'll love it. My villagers are probably the ugliest villagers ever LOL. That doesn't really bother me though.
At least now I can look at my face. Honestly If anyone else is thinking to reset, its a pain but its worth it.
