I like to think both. I think there was one, we found something we weren't supposed to, and we had to fake it for the public. But I could be wrong. Stanley Cubric did this interview drunk once where he claimed to have been hired to film the fake landing

Ahhh I misread the question and voted “no”. Of course it was real, I’m tired of these theories people have come up with, like flat earth and such. Scientists know more than us normal people. Besides, what’s the point of faking a moon landing?
Although I've stated my opinion earlier to the people asking "what's the point of faking the moon landings?" There were many reasons, the biggest being Russia and its cosmonauts. Russia bet the United states in a race into space so America did all they could to land the first human on a celestial body.
Reasons for faking it could be financial. The space race cost huge fortunes for both countries during this time and having America "fake" the whole thing and get credit for it would've been a enormous boost to both moral and the economy as they wouldn't have to spend as much of manned flights trying to actually get to the moon. By the end of the apollo missions the US had spend Billions upon Billions of USD with little return in their investments.

I'm not sure to be honest but the more people say that it's real, the more I believe that it's real. Like there are some good points. Why would you make a big lie about it? Plus, those people who worked on it know waaaaay more than we do so we shouldn't cause a heated argument that is backed up with little to no evidence. And conspiracy theories can just go disappear from this world. I find it to cause some unnecessary hate and worries that would waste other people's time.

Exactly. It would be a total waste of money to milk the faking of something like that so many times once we were successful. It’s not like we were gaining any resources or stuff from it. The main thing we were starting to look into is space travel (which imo, should still be seriously researched. I’m sick of all technology nowadays being behind things like communication and making our-already-small-phones-and-tablets-smaller-or-bigger).

Real, because you can use a telescope to see items that were actually left on the moon. Like someone mentioned, it is pretty fun to read the conspiracies.

I also find the flat earth theory hilarious because it was created by some Americans AFTER the rest of the world knew the earth was round. Even ancient civilizations knew it was round...
