Waving to Villagers

I THOUGHT WE COULDN'T DO THAT ANYMORE!!

i'm more upset about the fact that waving was included but animal portraits were not, since in WW one of the main ways to build the relationship leading to a portrait was a simple wave now and then.

anyway, thanks for letting me know!

p.s. it's a lot more difficult to do it in this game...

I tried this earlier. It's pretty cool.
All of my characters are jocky though, so I haven't gotten any bows.

Yeah, they have to be on the horizon, and the emoticons at the top of the screen always in your way.

yeah thats what is annoying. in reply i've gotten a bunch of waves back but i did manage to get one bow! :veryhappy:

I tried that the first day I played the game I'm so happy they kept it in.

Today I tried waving to a villager who was on the ground below me. I was on the cliff, north of the villager, but I looked in their direction and tried waving and it worked! I always wondered why they looked at you from above/below the cliff edge if you were walking near them but on a different ground level.

Yeah, I didn't know you could wave in either, and I have 11 pictures...probably would have been easier. Now I've gotten a few waves, but no bows.
