I actually really like the weeds and I'm upset that they'll have to be weeded out to make game progression (｡•́︿•̀｡)

When you pick them up, they only respawn as little clovers, at most like those little light green plants that look like succulents. I was going to mix them with my flowers to create garden designs.

Do you have to pick out all the weeds to get story progression?

Anyone as interested like me to know how to get the weed with the flowers?

I tried to leaving some aside to see if they grew into them but apparently not. (￣～￣)

I was the same, but I've gone and picked most of them now. I think I'm just going to replant them where I want to add to that 'natural' theme, as without the weeds the island looks kinda flat and plain. I think bushes would be a good add too, hopefully during the Earth Day update.

When you plant weeds I think they mature as days pass just like the other plants. The only thing is they're random when you plant them.

mm in my experience, every time you plant a weed, there's a random chance between the x amount of designs of weeds. i planted a bunch as little clovers (took some time lol) but the next day, some of them turned into flowers and some of them stayed the same. i think it's just randomized.

i think the weeds grow each day - i like the look of them, too, but i plucked all of mine for the nook miles lol

I love the weeds too!! I cross my fingers every time I pick one up hoping for a four-leaf clover, but alas. Hopefully in the earth day update, as someone said! If I could just grind clovers for pathways, I'm set.

I love the weeds but I did end up picking everything up that I left when tom nook told me I gotta do weed cleaning. Earth day is coming and boy I hope I have a good amount for that however the mechanic with Leif is going to be. What I don't like about weeds though is I actually placed some that looked like clovers behind my campsite. As the days went by they were replaced by other weeds so that's really disappointing.

Even if the designs are different when you plant them initially, once they are fully grown they all look really similar. Just takes a few days.

I kind of wish there was a way to prevent the weed from blooming into a flower. I really like the look of just the clover and tiny bush looking ones. Wish they would just cycle through all the mature stages when setting them down and stay that way till you pick them up again.

Weeds spawn each day. But weeds are also super easy to grab a lot with the Nook Miles tickets islands. You could always go get some new weeds to put on your island after you finish everything with the KK concert and the evaluations.

Replant them and wait- the flower ones are just mature ones, so they'll grow into that eventually! And if you dislike the flower, just pick them as flowers and replant. Though it is a bit annoying to have to do that regularly.

I'm guessing you're early in your game, but you'll absolutely get to the point where you can spread the weeds to your hearts content. I use them to decorate my forest, personally. I like a lot of plants in it, but don't want it TOO colorful, so I don't want to use a lot of flowers. Weeds are a perfect compromise!

weed isn't legal on my island

When I first saw this thread title I was like "Welp, this could go one of two ways"

I love the look of the weeds too. When I first started the game, I got rid of them. But now that my island is very well done with lots of items and everything, I have quite a lot of decorate weed around and I still have a 5 star island.

I got plenty of weeds and I shall not get rid of them. I though about picking them all to get to 5 stars so I could get some lily of the valley but I just like how they look too much. So I think the weeds are here to stay for my island

Wait, do you need to get rid of it to progress? I'm done with the story stuff and did remove all weed back then, but now my cliffs are full of it and it never affected my town rating.

I wish at the very least that weeds didn't grow bigger on the beach, but replanting them every so often isn't a huge deal.

Keeping the lawn in order is not as easy as it seems! To be honest, I get very tired of it, especially in the summer when the grass grows too fast and weeds appear. For 5 years, we used an old heavy lawnmower that broke down a couple of months ago, and to be honest, I was very happy about it. The most important thing is that with the help of a trimmer, I will be able to get rid of weeds!
