Weekly Update- The News from Dauphin

Well, it's March. I've been thinking about the blog a LOT last month. Truth is, Mom grounded me from the computer shortly after I last updated the blog, and I haven't been able to update the blog. I'll update it at 4:30 EST.

I've decided to try something new. Every Friday, I'll post a "trailer teaser" for the next Sunday's blog post. Below is today's.

February was a bit...dull. Sure, I had friends over (yes, only my cousin), and there was Festivale, but nothing seemed to fill the winter blahs. Except the snow melting. That made the scenery green.

February 1st saw Tom Nook close down, and left me with about 30 fish in my house. The HRA did not like that one bit. Oh well.
RUU_0038.jpg

To console myself with having over 30 flopping guests on my floorboards, I decided to play hide-and-seek with Moose, Purrl, and Lily. Where's Moose? He's the last one I need to find, and I only have 6:30 to find him! HELP!!!
RUU_0033.jpg

I didn't play until Saturday, and I had this nagging feeling to go to the city. And guess who I found there for the first time?
RUU_0040.jpg

Phineas! He gave me a bubble wand, and I blew bubbles all over the place. I ran home and told everyone about my new discovery. Not a lot of people cared, so I went back to fishing,About a week later, Alfonso comes crying to me. He's missing his house key. "Maybe I lost it in the river when I went swimming?" EEW! Swimming in the river?!? Alfonso, that's disgusting! That's our drinking water! Now we're gonna be tasting sweaty feet for a month! *shudder*
RUU_0042.jpg

I ended up fishing for his house key, even after reporting it to Pelly. And, after spending about 30 minutes on the banks of the Dauphin River, I found a treasure.
RUU_0041.jpg

So, I returned it to Alfonso, and he gave me...nothing. Oh well. Time to hit the hay.
About three days later, I go into Able Sisters, and am admiring a detective's shirt. And Mable seems to be a bit... off the mark, for lack of a better phrase. See below.
RUU_0044.jpg

How do I capture a detective by wearing a detective's shirt? Maybe some type of GPS system? I dunno.
Saturday night came, and since I wasn't in New York, K.K. had to do for the evening. I went to Murville, where- wait, what? You don't know what Murville is? Oh! That's where my cousin lives! Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah! When I paid a visit to Mitzi's house, I found out why Turnip prices were so low.
RUU_0048.jpg

That evil cat had stolen all of the Turnips! And in a very cliche manner! Anyway, I left shortly after that, because I was in so much shock over Mitzi's crime. And, when I got back, Bob calls me over to where he is. And he talks to me about where he likes to walk.
RUU_0051.jpg

Uhm, Bob?
RUU_0052.jpg

Boy, he's crazy! Maybe, when he's in the middle of a field, he thinks that he's in a busy city. And vice versa.

Last night, I had to give my lobster, Lobby, to the museum. As much as it pained me to do it, I did. He needed more space. And food.

RUU_0054.jpg

RUU_0050.jpg

RUU_0055.jpg

I got to see Lobby in his new home! He seems so happy now! Except for the part where Blathers wanted to buy him...evil bird...

And, this morning, I tried some Spanish out on Alfonso. He got the translation right, just not the language. Get that Rosetta Stone package, Alfonso.

Some things never change...

Scenery Update: The orchard is going slow, because I need oranges, peaches, and pears. I have everything else, though!
The paths are coming along, slowly but surely. Hybrids have yet to be seen, but I have high hopes for them!

Villager Update: Moose moved away on February 19, and Bob moved in from Murville on February 21.

That's it for this edition of the Weekly Update from Dauphin, be sure to check back this Friday for Weekend Update!

Hey this is pretty amusing! I cracked a smile here and there and laughed a couple times. XD I'll be sure to come back for more. o.o
Thank you very much for the entertainment, I was so bored...

Weekend Update- Fri., March 13, 2009

- Progress on the paths that wind through Dauphin
- The orchards
- Counterfeit Alert!
- Scenery update
- And, a continued list of who's moved out of Dauphin, and who's moved in.

Check back on Sunday, March 15!

I'm now about 75% sure that you guys hate me. I mean, I haven't updated this since March 13! Partly because I got grounded (AGAIN!), and because I either didn't (a) have the necessary pictures, or (b) I forgot. I AM human. So, without further ado here's the first April edition of the Weekly Update!
---
I started an orchard on March 10, and I am happy to report that all (except two) trees grew!

RUU_0062.jpg

RUU_0063.jpg

RUU_0067.jpg

You can probably tell what comes next. The trees in the far back, against the cliff wall, are cherry trees. Cherries are native to Dauphin, and I ended up chopping the trees down. I don't know what to put there yet, so the stumps are still there. Maybe coconuts? No...peaches? Maybe. Anyway, the trees behind me and to the left are pears, and the tree on the right is a peach, as is the one in the lower left. There are two more peach trees to the left of that tree. Above the cliff is a row of apple trees.

Resetti visited me (my neighborhood is prone to frequent power surges) on March 14, and he shared some...erm... personal information.
RUU_0068.jpg

That's unhealthy, Resetti. And think! I'm trying to get you elected president! Does the President really use T-Shirts for underwear! That's disgusting!

I started up my game that evening and got a letter from Posy Farms. What is a posy? A mutated pansy?
RUU_0069.jpg

RUU_0070.jpg

I never found out. I use the silver watering can, but what purpose does it serve? Does it make withering black flowers silver? Is it just decoration? Who knows? I don't!

Don visited me on the 18th, and he's not as nice mean as Sonny. He got scared by the thunder when he popped out of the ground, and his lesson to me was:
Uh... Resettin' ain't good! So don't do it, Stephen!
Very convincing.
RUU_0076.jpg

But I like Don. Don's good people. Don likes you. Don's name sounds funny. Don always talks in third-person. Don thinks that you're a good guy. Don... Don... *falls asleep* That was NOT a Family Guy reference...

Hey! Look at that! A letter from Nintendo!
RUU_0083.jpg

RUU_0084.jpg

The Flea Market was the 21st...I think. Anyway, Dotty decides to visit me, buys a microwave for about 1,400 Bells (muahahahaha), and tries to compliment me. Before you look at the picture, may I just say:
EPIC FAIL!
RUU_0085.jpg

Honestly, this one took the breath right out of me. Calling me Nook! Of all people! I've never been more insulted! I promptly left, and "pitfalled" (surrounded her house with pitfalls) her.

Blanca visited about mid-week. And since the face-drawing tools from ACGC weren't in City Folk (would you believe me if I told you I never had Blanca visit my Wild World town?), I did the best I could. And this sums it up quite nicely:
EPIC FAIL!!!
RUU_0091.jpg

No. Absolutely not. That is UGLY! U-G-L-Y! Whoo! Stars for eyes? Is that supposed to be a smile? Wow. Awkward.

And Now for Something Completely Different.

I had "amassed over 5,000 Points," according to Nook, and he sent this complimentary letter and accompanying model of Nook 'n' Stop Go.
RUU_0092.jpg

RUU_0093.jpg

Not long after, I visited the Able Sisters, and Mable is a bit... out of it. Again. She needs to sit every now and then. And eat. And not say that clothing will scream. ...sicko
RUU_0094.jpg

Again, and not to belabor the point, she needs to rest! Talking about clothes (or looks for that matter) screaming. Remember the other blog entries? Where they "screamed" kiwi or food or bunny or something? She needs to lay off the plaid and lay on the coffee, NOW!

Saturday, March 28th, I got another letter from Nintendo. That's two in a month!
RUU_0095.jpg

RUU_0096.jpg

RUU_0097.jpg

The gas mask/ Pikmin hat combo is not weird at all. Not at all, even in the slightest. The Pikmin hat is on display in my basement.

And, yesterday, I got my DSi! Now I have one (not in the real world, sadly) That too is in my basement.
RUU_0100.jpg

RUU_0101.jpg

RUU_0102.jpg

If you look closely in the background of either of the first two pictures in this set, you can see a grove of coconut trees. Dauphin can now bring in an extra 8,000 Bells.Yay Dauphin.

And finally, I found this disturbing notice at the town hall yesterday as well.
RUU_0109.jpg

Now I understand why Nook is always following me around. And why Tutu "disappeared" so suddenly. Poor Tutu. But that skeleton will look great in my basement!

That's it for the Weekly Update, I'll see you next Sunday, April 12!...let's see...Easter vacation Thursday til Monday, won't be playing Friday through Monday... going on vacation next Thursday...um... I'll see you back here on Sunday, April 26!
