Welcome to the Cherryfall Island Journal!
Here I will document the development of my little corner of Animal Crossingdom! I won't be posting the day to day goings on of the island, but more the development as it takes shape. This is the one and only island I have had in ACNH which is my first AC game. Cherryfall was founded on 11th August last year, but on the 1st of January this year the animals awoke to find their island had been ENTIRELY FLATTENED! Not a tree, river, flower or cliff in sight! Nobody knows how such a thing could have happened, but is was noted that resident representative Marty was rather tired that day...

🍒

The Four Corners of Cherryfall
Cherryfall is divided in to four seperate provinces:
  • Okyot the Winter province, an urban province in the South East of the island
  • Zengard the Spring province, a garden province in the North East of the island
  • Mizuchi the Summer province, a tropical province in the South West of the island
  • Kodama the Autumn province, a forest province in the North West of the island
Since the "unexplained" flattening of the island, the only province to have began development thus far is Okyot, the winter province... it is winter afterall!

The Cherryfall Flag
The Cherryfall flag can be seen in the picture above. In the center it depicts the island's native fruit, Cherries. Behind the cherries is a blue sky with white triangles representing the winter snow. During the spring the triangles are displayed in pink to represent cherryblossom. In the the summer they are coloured green to represent the lush leaves. Finally, during the autumn they are displayed in orange and red to represent the falling leaves. The ten dots in the top left represent the ten animal residents of the island and the single dot in the lower right represents the island representative... me! The bottom of the flag reads "welcome" as visitors are welcome all year round!

Until Next Time Folks
I hope you enjoyed the introduction to the island, next time we'll be taking a look at the paving I designed for Okyot, and hopefully I can figure out how to share it. We'll also see the entryway to the Resident Services area! Byeeee!

Welcome Back to Cherryfall!
Welcome back to Cherryfall where today we are taking a look at the humble area leading into the plaza and the rather rustic paving that resident representative Marty has decided the animals will have to put up with.... watch your footing! Today I have gained my creator code so I can now share my creations with the community. Hooray!

There are a couple of basic things about the island and the way I play that I forgot to mention in the opening of this journal. That is the overall style of the island, which I originally wanted to make Japanese, but then changed my mind to a more general Eastern feel. So it is a Zen/Imperial themed island. I am playing the game without time travelling, so the pace of things is quite slow... like me
:ROFLMAO:

The Plaza Entry
The entryway to the Plaza, as seen in the opening picture, pretty much serves as the entryway to the island. The airport is right next to the plaza, just a little to the left. It is not shown here because that area is yet to be decorated properly. The area is a hit with the villagers as they gather in the plaza often and wander out to sit on the bamboo benches and take photos of the stone liondogs with their phones!

Below you can see resident representative Marty trying to make the best of the dull weather with the island's snooty sophistocrat, Blanche!

To the West of the plaza there is currently a small bridge that leads to nowhere, but on the East side of the plaza there is a small free food stand that Marty maintains for the villagers. Beyond that there is a larger bridge leading to the market, which is currently under construction. Below we can see one of the villagers cautiously approaching the free food. Go on little bear, don't be shy!

My Path and Creator Code: MA-6673-9157-2320
The rustic looking stone tile path I'm using is created using four seperate designs. You don't need to use all of them however. You could use just a single design if you wanted, but the path will appear more random the more of the designs you incorporate into it. At the moment there are small amounts of snow in the cracks so that it fits better with the winter theme. There is also brown dirt in the design that matches pretty well with the in-game dirt path.

The tiles are designed to be placed over the top of the in-game dirt path. They have a transparent dot in the top left corner so they fit to the in-game paths when placed over them. Because of the colour of the dirt on the designs and the in-game dark dirt path being close you can transition between the two. This can be used to create squares of missing tiles to make the area look even more rustic, as can be seen in the picture below. I even planted weeds in the missing squares!

So to sum up: first place a in-game path of dark dirt. Then randomly place the Stone Path designs over the top in any configuration you like. Skip squares if you want some gaps in the path.

There will be a non-snowy version at some point soon (I'll be using it myself when the snow melts in a couple of weeks).

Until Next Time Folks
I hope you enjoyed the first update of the Cherryfall journal! Next time I'm not sure what we will look at yet. Perhaps we will visit the nearby Bamboo garden! Byeeee!

Welcome Back to Cherryfall!
Welcome back to Cherryfall for a small update! One of the island's residents, Annalisa, has moved home! I've approached her for comment but, as you can see in the picture above, she is a little shy. Her home is located just above the Bamboo Garden to the North of Resident Services. At the moment the island's residents are living in temporary beach side accomodation while resident representative Marty (that's meeee!) prepares the permanent plots for their homes.

The Bamboo Garden at Night
At night, the Bamboo garden is dimly lit by lanterns and candles. It's probably the most peaceful area on the island. There's nothing much more to say about it really, other than Annalisa sure is lucky to have it right on her doorstep! I'll get some day shots of this area in the future too.

Until Next Time Folks
So it was only a small update today, but I wanted to post this because I'm working on something a little more time consuming for a Valentines Day update, and I don't know if I'll get a chance to update the journal again before then. I don't know what to put around Annalisa's house, I'm guessing just a garden of some sort since her hobby is nature. It's a tight space so it will have to be compact. I've started working on a space for Genji's home next, but there wasn't enough room so I had to delete it all! I'm going to build the same thing somewhere else, it involves several custom patterns which I'll post too when the area is complete. :) See you soon! Byeeee!

Welcome Back to Cherryfall!
Welcome back to Cherryfall folks, where today it is Valentines day! As such I thought I'd do something a little different to usual. Today we are visiting Mira's playhouse and romance is in the air as she has prepared a performance of the famous Balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet. Let's take a peek inside!

Well that went well, bravo and well done to Mira and her talented performers! I hope you enjoyed the show folks. I'm working on multiple areas of the island at once, so can't wait to show you more soon. Until then, byeeee!

Welcome Back to Cherryfall!
Just a super quick update as the snow melted today! I changed the path to remove the snow and updated the dirt colour in between the tiles to fit better with the new colour of the dark dirt path in game. Posted it online, I don't know if anyone used the snowy path, but if you did, the non-snowy one is now available!
