Our computer is corrupted and the only way to fix it is to destroy everything on it. Including all my documents that I've typed since I was 6. Including a novel I was writing. I had over 500 documents. Oh well...

save what you can, on anything, from mp3 players and Ipods, to floppy disks, and then get rid of what you have too.

Well, to save those documents, you could print them out, and put them in a box somewhere for safe keeping. :yes: And yes, this has happened to me before. Although, I've never really had anything important to lose.

I don't have a printer and all files are too corrupted to save to a disk. This computer had my life's work on it.

You should be able to save documents...
are you on it now?
because if it can start up you can save the docs to a floppy disk or a jump drive or even to Cd if yo have a burner.

I've been writing a novel. It's 83 pages so far, in 14 size font.

This novel has been erased before, believe it or not. But I re-wrote it. You'll be OK.
