WEP key...?

Okay, according to the guy that fixes our computer, we have a wireless router, meaning I should be able to do some wifi-action on my DS, but it says I need a WEP key...what is that?


:huh: and more importantly, how do I figure out what mine is?

a wep key is a security code so only people who know it can acces your network. As how to find it, it should be in network settings on your computer.

yeah, no problem. Just go

Start> Control Panel (it should be on the far right sideof the start menu)> Network & Internet Connections

It should be in there somewhere. IF it isn't just ask one of your parents or a tech guy how to find it.

no. No its not. It is however the same format. Anyways just ask a tech guy how to access it.

All this time I've had the right router, and never been able to play wifi...I'm really hoping we (you guys) can help me figure this out!

Yep, and It has a picture of like 3 computers,

I don't know how to do that, but I'll describe to you whats goin on;

It says "LOCAL DEVICES" And under that it lists my last name, then it says "computer" under it....
Next to the one with my last name it says "For this computer: Access shared files, Edit firewall settings, and View device details"

To the left of all that, it says "STATUS AT A GLANCE" then "Local Interfaces" and it lists tons of stuff I can disable, then under that it says "Wirelsess settings" and it says Network Name=2Wire6
Acess point= (buncha' numbers)
