Whar if there was a swimming pool for both npcs and the player?

Would it be a good idea if you could build a swimming pool inside the town as a public works project?.
Maybe other npcs and villagers including the player
could swim inside it and being able to play games with npcs inside the pool would be too cute.

Kinda reminds me of the tier 3 sporty amenity from PC in a way, it could be a bit bigger, but I like the idea

Honestly, I'd rather it be an expansion on Main Street instead. As pointless as the club was at night, or sitting on a bench or tree stump is, it adds to the immersion of the game. Even little things like portable coffee cups go a long way. A swimming pool area would be great, even if it provided little else other than just something to do in your Animal Crossing life.

In fact, take it one step further and give an old gymnasium or a YMCA sort of building that we have to work to restore.

I really like the idea of a swimming pool or even a gymnasium type building. It would be fun to see how to villagers interact in the pool or the gymnasium. I loved the Jungle Gym PWP, however, it was not too interactive. As far as I’m aware, villagers could only touch it and spin it around. They couldn’t actually climnb on top of it. Villagers can sit down on benches, put their hands over a campfire, go fishing, catch bugs, and more... so I think we should have more interactive buildings and public works projects.

Nope. Not a good idea. How big a pool would be if houses are already the size of a toll booth ? You can't make a swimming pool bigger than a house, surely. And how much space for swimming does this leave you? Nope. Clearly not a good idea.

Besides, Animal Crossing is supposed to be a quaint village in a forest (hence the Animal forest name in Japan). If we have swimming pools, jacuzzis, and garage, then this is Animal suburbs and not Animal forest.

Yeah that ship sailed back in 2008 when City Folk came out.

A separate area for swimming in a building big enough cover the space of two or so acres would be fine.

Any bigger amenities should be part of main street in my opinion. A swimming pool is a cute idea but it might be too big to fit in the town's layout, unless the size of the map doubles. I'm hoping they make a HHD style main street with different types of amenities we can unlock and design. It would be nice if these amenities can have minigames that you can play with visitors, kind of like the games you can play on the island but in your own town on main street (eg. if it's a swimming pool there's a mini racing game you can play with friends) There better be some enticing wifi play options if they're making us pay for online subscription... On an unrelated note about PWPs... it would be cute to see villagers actually being able to interact with PWPs. Like if there's a fountain, they could be seen throwing coins into the fountain or something.. or even falling in. Or a small interaction where you can see villagers refilling their watering can at the water pump, etc. !!!

Trust me, the only reason Club LOL (what even IS this name? I get its for emotions...but only one of them is laughter, but it being Club 444 in Japan makes less sense) is even used is for emotions system and for Saturday nights to get the medals for going to see him so often (and his free boots of music aren't a bad trade off, you don't have to spend roughly 4000 bells)

I really hope they change that in AC for the switch (something along the lines of it being off to the side somehow, like the campsite where Harvey is, or have the option to have it else where...its an eyesore...)

The idea in general sounds good, however, I think it would work better if it's part of a separated
city you can visit (like the city in City Folk) or the Main Street rather than being a PWP, as it's
hard for me to imagine if you could build a swimming pool somewhere random in your town. As a
PWP or inherent part of your town, a large sea would work better, as it fits more with the "forest
life" and such. I would also like it if you could use a swimming pool or large sea as a ice skating
area at winter.

To be honest, I would play a Animal Crossing game which is more "Animal suburbs" rather than "Animal forest" since it's sounds interesting to me.

Kids pee (and on rare cases poo) in pools all the time, yet it gets filtered through eventually (not the poo, that’s got to get scooped out)

Chlorine exists for this reason, but please go to the restroom if you need too, it unbalances the chemicals in the water... and if it does happen, it be more dialogue based...and based off a few personality types (lazy relaxing so much that an accident happens...and they’d be the only one that would do this)

I think it's a cute idea, but I would rather have it as an addition to main street. I think a gym you need to restore would be a good way to incorporate it, but I would probably never build it if it's a PWP. I like my towns a little more natural looking with a lot of flowers instead of a bunch of buildings and works projects.
