What are Refferals?

I was scrolling through my "about me" section of my profile when I saw "Referrals: 0" at the bottom. Anyone know what this is?

When someone introduces another new member to the site. iirc there was supposed to be a reward or something but was scrapped so I couldn't get abused.

When you join the forum, it will ask them if someone suggested you or something. So if someone signs up and puts your username in that field, it counts as a referral.

wow lol, i reffered one of my friends here and didnt want him to use my name in refferal bcuz i thought it was a trap XDDD
