That's the thing. It's there to let your imagination run wild.
I've seen people use it to make music videos. That's a fun take on it. I've also seen people use it to make ideal rooms for their favorite villagers. I like setting it up for welcoming and going away "parties" for villagers.

You can participate in various Bell Tree competitions! You can also test out clothing options on villagers in case you want to see what something you gift them would look like before actually giving it to them. And of course you can watch ol' Harv feed his birds. Wish they flew over to our island more frequently than when we have a new bulletin message.

now that you mention it, i did do a pajama party once over there... i forget who with, though :3
I did one for the Bell Tree Fair last year- it was fun and ended up being so cute ☺
The music video thing that meggiewes is referring to requires outside sources to make. A way to capture video or move the videos to where you want to edit them and a type of video editing software. If that interests you, you should look into some good vid editing software. I wouldn't know which is the best one, because I usually just search for any that is free and have had limited success.

I’ve been using Harv’s island to try out outfits on myself and villagers, come up with room ideas and to make little fun scenarios for friends. For example, a friend of mine made graves for two villagers he knew I liked who he voided, so I decided to tease him with some harv studio designs with a mini story to them.

Then for the harv’s studio TBT contests, i made this room (spin off/alt FMA):
I have a lot of fun at the studio
. Also, it saves me money from buying items for ideas I’m messing around with. The problem with the studio is that the room sizes don’t match your house room sizes.
Other things I’ve seen people doing is use it to recreate their villager rooms and then placing items to see if they can improve the room by gifting them things.

For me personally, I love to hold photoshoots for different events (Toy Day, Festivale, etc...) using the furniture items that correspond. I created a parade area with the Festivale items, a winter living room for Toy Day, and a giant wedding hall during wedding season. Taking pictures on event days can be pretty fun.

there is a tab that you go to when you open up the decorate room option where you can invite your residents. you can also scan amiibo cards which I did and have ones that aren’t residents on your island as well as npcs. you can’t dress up the npcs though.

I like Harvey's island. I have made a lot of fun scenes for photoshoots. But my favorite is to make a funny photo with the other players on my island. Heh heh....yes, I share my island, and I dress them up real nice in the photoshoots lol.

I've seen people make full on mini movies there, and its really cool to see. I adore the studio, I mainly use it for various scenes
