Death is a scary thing to happen so what do you think happens when you die?

I've actually just stopped caring

though if there is any afterlife (judge), I highly doubt it's like what any religions claim it to be

I believe literally nothing happens apart, you just black out. Like being in a coma. When your brain activity is dead, you are gone forever.

i would like to think that theres some sort of paradise when u pass. or reincarnation. but im not sure, i feel like what starry said

Hopefully you just get to sleep forever. Although, personally, I don't care. My consciousness will be gone, so why worry about it?

I used to wonder about this often. Some time ago I became a Christian and so this question really doesn't bother me anymore.

I cannot imagine what it's like to expect nothingness. The thought has always scared me. Now I can safely put my fears aside and hope for a better outcome.

I believe in heaven and it gives me comfort because if I thought everything we did was for nothing I might go insane. Also it's nice to think you might see people you love again

I like to believe that there is some sort of power that decides what happens to us but maybe i am just a crazy lady

Well at least it's better than looking forward to complete darkness.

I don’t think it’ll be like darkness I feel like it’ll be like just passing out. You’ll have no concept of darkness or anything if that’s a consultation. No pain, nothing.

I don't think anyone actually knows what happens. People can believe whatever they want to in regards to this.

Yeah, this is the same with me. I’m a Christian as well. Though I don’t fear death. It happens for everyone at some point in time. My stance on it is the less afraid of it you are, the more gently it will take you. It also helps a lot to not worry about it in order to actually live your life, lmao

Admittedly it's not something I have put much thought in lately. If there is something after all this, awesome. If not, I suppose I won't be able to complain anyways. Whatever happens, happens. I try to focus on the time I have over something I have no control over.

I expect a unicorn with a saddle made of clouds to descend upon my resting place, hold out a hoof, and carry me away into a realm where my ACNL town exists, and I will live within the pixels of the world i created.

Julian takes you to the ACNL dimension?

I really don't know what happens when we die. I used to spend a lot of time thinking about it and religion and that sort of thing, but now I just accept that we'll never know and go on about my life. I consider myself agnostic, so I believe in many possibilities, but no certainties. I'm not scared of death regardless of what comes afterwards. Whether it's some sort of heaven or nothingness or even reincarnation, it's all fine by me. Or it could be something we've never even thought of yet.

I am also a Christian as well Vaati and Riley! :D I don't fear death because I know I will be going to Heaven where God truly will be present after death because of Jesus's sacrifice and believing (& being transformed by the Holy Spirit through such faith) that it is only way of being welcomed to my true home (this life in this world is only a tiny time span of what my true life is)! :) Just the thought of finally meeting God (& seeing Him with my own eyes) and seeing loved ones that have passed again or meeting the first time (including my older sister that never was born because of miscarriage) just absolutely blows my mind! :D

You mean after I guess? Because I kind know what happens when someone die and it's kind of scary. After...Well nothing...I will just cease to exist.

i think it will be peaceful honestly
like everyone else said, you will have no conscious, so you won't have to feel pain or really anything for that matter
