What do you do with your Haunted Paintings/Statues?

So I recently found out that some forged art work is actually haunted: the Wistful/Scary/Graceful paintings and the Ancient/Informative statues.

I had known that the fake statues were a little weird, but I hadn't actually paid much attention to the paintings. So imagine my surprise when the sun went down and I noticed my Wistful painting went from this:

I guess my kitchen is haunted now!

I'm curious how you display your own haunted paintings and statues on your island/homes?

I buy all the fake ancient statues I can find and am putting them on a witchy mountain top i am making. Their eyes glow at night and they float if you interact with them. I love them ☺

I love them! I’m using more of the fake ancient statue and the fake informative tablet. The ancient statue glows and floats when you interact it and the informative tablet glows blue

I have a few of the tablets in my underwater sea room to give it that blue hue :3

I dislike fake art so I don't buy it. Wouldn't be able to bring myself to display it.

I have the statues around my island. Wish I had more space, I'd find a spot to place a stonehenge in, with the informative statue and the ancient statue nearby.

My haunted Wistful Painting is downstairs in my Hufflepuff Common Room. Since paintings are supposed to move, she fits right in.

I have the haunted Ancient Statue and Informative Tablet near my Stonehenge. They're such fun!

The statue's eyes light up at night (putting it in the trees makes that more spooky), and anytime if you press 'A' while facing it, it will levitate for a few seconds.

Literally the same I had no idea the fake paintings and statues are haunted! I never bothered buying them before but is now somewhat motivated to buy just so i can be spooked at night

They sorta spook me. I mean they're cool and I appreciate that detail but it's similar to the creepy alien shown on the tv. I'm pretty sure I would just stare at it because it unnerves me. No haunted paintings for me, lol.

And the Graceful Painting also has the added bonus of a creepy shadow on the back! The haunted paintings only change at night. Honestly I think the Graceful Painting is the creepiest because of the back.

As far as I know, it's just the Fake Wistful/Scary/Graceful paintings and the Ancient/Informative statues that are haunted. Though I'd love if they added more haunted art in the future!

You're welcome! And just to let you know, the fake haunted paintings only change at night, which is why I never noticed before! For example, my Wistful painting looks normal during the day, but at night her eyes close.

This is a really interesting thread, I'd read a while ago about some of them been haunted but I'd never actually thought to check them out in my game, I'll be keeping my eye out for the fake ones on Redds boat now

this is really cool to know, for some reason I've been carrying a graceful painting around in my pocket for a couple of days (received it in the mail from a villager) - I'm going to go and put it in the house now and see if anything happens during the night
