What do you love most about making art?

Is it sketching or shading? Making eyes or noses? Adding ears or little details?

Personally, I like doing little details, zooming in to get those tiny highlights in the eyes or little wisps of hair, or maybe little shines on the lips. I also like doing hair in general, highlighting it, adding roots and tiny little hairs.. I like doing that... Also, animating a piece is fun for me!

So what do you like most about making art?

Ah i love coloring! *^* its just so fun. Especially coloring skin xD its also fun to sketch but i hate lineart so much =w=

drawing and lining is the hardest part for me, it's the colouring where fun really starts, and when I'm done with the piece after hard work that feeling of pride is really good ^^

Sketching is my favorite part of drawing, I actually have a preference biased for pictures that look more sketchy than if they are 'cleaned up' per say. Idk, I'm kind of the opposite of a perfectionist and like things better when things aren't perfect, if that makes sense?

I like lining the most, I guess ^^ especially detailed hair
Coloring idk I'm not so fond of my coloring ._. I just keep being not satisfied and it takes me soo long. .
this is probably the reason why I stop working on my WIPs when lining is finished >-<
but I love to color eyes! Especially when they have nice hues like dark blue *-*

Noses are fun, too! And they don't take as long as eyes or stuff, you can just draw a pretty curve. No one expects a detailed nose, I hope XD

Coloring is okay for me. It's the shading that wrecks my nerves. Lol

I have to agree that my favorite part is progression.

It's fun to think one day "This is my best yet!!" and then 4 years later, look at the same piece like "Woah, what was I thinking?"
Looking at my old art from years back and then looking at myself now gives me motivation.
Even now, it makes me curious what my art will look like later on. Will I get better? I can only hope now and continue with a positive attitude.

My weakest points are probably lining and shading. I feel like once I get to a happy medium with my sketches that I'll start working those weak spots

Eyes. I have no idea why, but I love drawing eyes, even if I always feel that I need to improve at drawing them. Second to that, however, is scanning the finished product in and colouring it in Photoshop. It's always so satisfying to see it evolve like that.

My favorite part is the body (on girls). Because it's just all curvy. Plus, it looks nice too.
