What household chores do you enjoy the most/least?

I like most chores! I don’t like loading the dishwasher though, I think that’s my least favorite.

Favorites:
Folding laundry (I love how I fold laundry and find it relaxing)
Vacuuming (those lines though, the lines of CLEAN!)
Making the bed (you start your day off accomplishing something!)
Mowing the yard (unless it’s beastly hot)

Next favorites:
Dusting (an instant gratification - dust is there, then it’s not!)
Cleaning counters (Dusting’s 1UP - you get the clean smell too!)

Don’t mind em, but don’t love em:
Sweeping (why bother, says the Golden Retriver)
Swiffering (if only it lasted longer)
Bathrooms (I just don’t get that much time in one block often)
Taking trash out (just don’t overfill it, please)
Unloading the dishwasher (the gross part is already done! Yay!)

Please just, no:
Dishes (my first chore at 9 years old. Probably ruined it for life.) *only caveat to this is polishing crystal. I love polishing crystal.
Bug extinguishment or rehoming (NOPE.) *though I do love me some lightning bugs

I don't like doing chores but prefer to do chores for myself. I prefer to clean my own room and do my own laundry and such. I like helping someone out in smallish favors if it is needed and appreciated. I just don't like when everything falls on me and I'm expected to do things when others could be doing it for once in their life. I hate cleaning up after lazy housemates too. Especially with the bathroom which has been an ongoing issue.

I don't really have a super weak stomach or anything, so I don't really mind doing the gross chores like the dishes or cleaning the bathroom or whatever, really the only thing I hate is cleaning up after my cats when they throw up or poop on the floor sometimes, espacially since our floors are carpeted, meaning you're really have to scrub to get it out.

My favorite is doing the laundry because it's fairly simple. I also don't mind washing the dishes every now and then, but only because I used to wash dishes in my previous job. My least favorite is cleaning the bathroom Ick! Besides that, I don't like vacuuming because of how heavy it is to carry around the vacuum while cleaning. That's why I'd much rather use a broom and dustpan to clean the floor and carpet.

I don't mind dishwashing. I think it's the easiest...as long as you have your gloves on you're good. My mind can't handle everything else. Especially folding the clothes, because I keep forgetting how to do it properly. XD

I hate doing dishes. I'd literally rather scrub a toilet or something.

Doing the dishes is my "favourite" chore. Wet food is unpleasant, but my parents and I always rinse our dishes off well before they're washed, so that's rarely an issue! Doing the dishes doesn't require much thought for me and I can just sort of zone out while I do them, which I especially appreciate on my low energy/foggy brain days.

I also don't mind cleaning out the fridge/freezers/cabinets and doing laundry all that much, though having to put the laundry away isn't my favourite thing to do.

My least favourite chores are... pretty much everything else LOL. Having to move things to vacuum, dust and mop/sweep is the worst. I wish I could get rid of dust permanently.

i enjoy doing the laundry, quite like sorting clothes out into their piles for washing and always like things freshly washed - extra nice in winter when you get something out of the drier and it’s all warm and cosy. also enjoy ironing, doesn’t take too much effort and can do it while catching up on a programme or listening to music. likewise washing up the dishes is handy to do while listening to something else, though only really like washing up my own dishes unless others have been rinsed well as don’t like dealing with leftover foods on other people’s plates.

least favourite is probably anything to do with the rubbish, taking out the bins or just cleaning the bins, or cleaning the toilets - always nice when they’re done but just hate the process.

I enjoy cleaning so not much bothers me. Cleaning is one of the ways I relieve stress actually. Something about decluttering and getting rid of messes is liberating I guess.

My favorite thing to do though is take care of my plants if that counts as a chore. If not, then vacuuming or dishes.

My least favorite thing to do would be taking out the trash. I compromise with my dad where he takes it out and deals with the dirty work and I just replace the bags I also am not a fan of cleaning the bathtub just because I usually end up inhaling a lot of chemicals and then I get nauseous haha.

Those are my extremes, but in between I would say at the top I enjoy doing dishes, but I don't enjoy dusting.

I don't like the idea of vacuuming, but once I start going, it is pretty satisfying!

Having a clean space is really important to my general mood, and sometimes I even like the act of cleaning itself! I think I'm most fond of chores like laundry, unloading the dishwasher, vacuuming, making the bed, and general tidying/putting things away! Sometimes it's easy for me to just get lost in my thoughts while I'm doing them, so they're kind of relaxing.
I have a weak stomach so I can't say I like doing any "gross" chores, but unfortunately they've gotta be done to get rid of the gross stuff. I also have minor back issues (yay scoliosis) and things that involve sweeping or scrubbing can aggravate my back after a while, though I don't think I'd mind them if it weren't for that.

So when it comes to housework, what chores do you like to do, and what are your least favorite chores?

I too need a tidy and clean environment to focus and feel good. ^w^ I clean daily, but the chores I enjoy the most are sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces! ^w^

i don't necessarily enjoy any household chores, but i'm super compulsively neat so i do get satisfaction from cleaning. it's kinda nice to clean my room, light a candle and just bask in the cleanliness lol.

if there's any chore i absolutely HATE, it's laundry. idk what it is, but folding laundry turns me into the biggest procrastinator on planet earth and i will put it off as long as physically possible. i mostly just wear work clothes or loungewear/pj's these days so most of the time i don't even bother folding those and they just get thrown in a basket. if i ever get out of retail hell and make actual money, i would absolutely pay someone just to do my laundry for me lmao.

I really do like sweeping the floor and cleaning counters, tables etc. Overall, I don't mind doing chores especially when pairing it with some nice music. Very nice to see the results be all spotless and shining.
