Would you want the ability to craft your own furniture or house, by collecting your own materials like chopping down trees, breaking open rocks etc, so a bit like in Harvest Moon?
I don’t think Animal Crossing is about crafting. (Unlike Pocket Camp)
But I would like some furniture you can only get by Cyrus by looking for materials like you can in Pocket Camp. But instead by villagers, it’s by your town.
They could certainly expand on the golden furniture idea with Cyrus with new sets corresponding to all the ores available, that would be cool. However, I really don't like the idea of crafting finding its way into the main games any more than that!
Crafting was fine in Pocket Camp, but I don't want that to be in AC Switch. I'd rather buy my furniture then craft it. It's a lot easier. Plus gathering materials takes time, so I don't think they would add that in the new game.
It is a cute idea, but I have to agree with just buying my furniture.
Especially because I buy everything to try to fill up my catalog. And I don't want to drag that with trying to grather all of the materials. I give up on wanting an item if I can't obtain it within a certain time, and I'd hate to do it on something I want.
The crafting is fine for pocket camp because it really suits mobile gameplay. I don't hope it makes a return in the new main series game. The only way I could support this idea is if you can find special items (like ores) in your town to unlock more with Cyrus.
I don't like the idea of constantly killing trees for material to put my butt on ;_;
The crafting works cause you get it from animals when you do requests, which Nintendo has now made really quick. But as for an everyday thing, nope. I'd rather just sell sea shells, fruits and such for bells.
I really and truly hate crafting aspects of any game. Even in Harvest Moon and Stardew Valley, they are my least favorite parts. It's kind of why I don't play Pocket Camp as much any more. It feels like I'm grinding too much in order to complete things and I hate it. I'd rather just wait and buy them. Plus, there's the excitement of guessing what furniture is going to be in your store that day. I know that can be annoying to some people, but it is one aspect of the Animal Crossing series that I like.
