What flowers are available and how?

For whatever reason one of the things I spend most of my time on in AC is collecting every variation of flower available without trading whenever possible, it’s become a goal in enjoy working towards each time with new horizons however, i’m stuck.

First and foremost you start with the flowers nook gives you and the ones on the cliff in my case pansies and cosmos (incidentally my least favourite two) and whatever is for sale which is where I’m coming up short.

I only have the basic colours for pansies and cosmos and not even a single rose or lille it’s to the point I don’t even know what species are available, googling it this early in its life span doesn’t help as it seemingly uses new leaf information as though it’s still the same (doubt violets are still a thing).

I’ve also grown tired of wasting miles on tickets only to get the same flowers again and again and with flowers not spawning randomly and my shop forgetting to replaces its stock of flowers I’m a tad lost as to what’s available in game and the easiest way of obtaining them without trading.

my native flowers are lilies and i only get lilies, cosmos and mums (?) to buy at nook crannys.
in islands, i've only seen lilies and cosmos.

honestly, i don't know how to get the other flowers without trading.

There is a thread that made a list of flowers and what flowers to pair to get hybrids. I am trying to find it myself but found your post instead lol.

So. I was told that getting specific flowers/planting them on your island unlocks them in the store. This is not true. My store (fully upgraded BTW) still only sells tulips, hyacinths, and cosmos.

I cannot get it to sell roses, lilies, or wind flowers despite planting them on my island (all found via trades with other people), getting seeds from other people and planting them that way, selling the flower itself, I even tried WEARING them, did not work..

My mystery island tours only ever have tulips, cosmos, and hyacinths. I think the "3 flowers" you get are randomly generated and island locked. I cannot understand why they would do this, and I will update if this prooves untrue, but I wish I knew or I would have repeatedly reset for lilies.

Have heard a rumor you NEED to find them on the mystery island tour then plant them on your own island to unlock them in store, but that seems impossible as far as I can tell as I only ever get 3 types.

The types I think are:
Mums
hyacinths
cosmos
windflowers
Roses
Lilies
tulips
pansies

Yeah, that’s what I’ve been finding too my shoot sold tulips cosmos pansies yellow hyacinths windflowers but never lilies roses or mums so I had to trade to acquire the rest. I feel as though they are far to troublesome to acquire so much so that the average player doesn’t have a chance.

I really hope this isn't the case... As someone who plays casually I can't really spend most of the day trading for the flowers I don't have, especially if I want an entire garden full of them.

It does seem harder to find some of them I went ato a few peoples islands and bought the missing seeds I needed at there shops to get around this.
