DID YOU KNOW U COULD SAVE UR OLD GOLD ITEMS AT THE POST OFFICE IN A SAVED LETTER! Then you could keep all of them...that was a feature i noticed in every game....I think its in this one as well! Not sure...

Are you saying that when I make a new town, all my saved letter will still be there, that makes no sense.

Yes! Any saved patterns or letters! You could do that in all the old games! I dont know if you can in City Folk because ive never tried it! Im sure you can though!

Well, I don't see how it will save the letters because I completely erased my game data.

It wont save anything if you earased it on the wii-system memory files! if you earase your town on the game with rover I beleive your patterns and letters do save!
