I was super excited when I finally unlocked the ladder to go explore my cliff tops! I found lots of pine trees and roses!

Did you discover anything cool on your cliffs?

What have you done with them? Have you built anything up there? Used them to farm resources?

i haven’t done anything with them yet but i plan on having my shopping district up there with cedar trees and some seasonal decorations. i might also put one of my side characters up there at some point c:

I unlocked the ladder recipe a few days ago, but while I have been on the cliffs on my island to see what was up there, I haven't put anything on there yet.

To be honest I'm not 100% sure on what I want to do with them, but right now I'm feeling like having the northern half of my island be mostly deserted, not much different from how it looks right now but with one or two of my side characters' houses up there. Meanwhile everyone else lives in the southern half of my island, which would be more developed and would have all the shops, residential services and the museum.

I've been up there, but aside from the campground on the edge of the lowest cliff, I don't have anything up there. I thought about breeding flowers, but until I start to terraform I'm not sure what I'll do. Right now my whole island is a mess.

Not much yet because it's such a pain to go there with the ladder (but I finally decided to build my first ramp and tomorrow it will be ready!). I planted some bamboo in the highest cliff and that's it.

I haven't done much yet except dig up all the yellow flowers (I don't want any yellow flowers in my town... ha) and plant more trees. I might make a little amusement park area there in the future though.

I have my museum in one corner surrounded by waterfalls and I'm planning to add an outdoor cafe-style area next to it. I'll have to post a picture when I'm done.

I don't really like going up there because it requires a tool for now. But I collected all flowers up there and made them into one giant field in case I get the watering Nook Miles objective and all of my own flowers are already taken care off. I also chose a corner up there to plant my bamboo and let it grow for a while.

I'll definitely place buildings up there as well, but for now I want to get my 10 villagers and unlock terraforming so that I can get to work. There's a lot of spaces I need to fix before I can get every building to its permanent (for now) place.

I plan to put the museum up there as well as some elaborate waterfalls and potentially a lake!

i haven't done much with them yet because i plan on terraforming it so the cliffs are more towards the back of my island.. but i plan on putting my museum up there, the rest of the space i'm still deciding what to do with!

I'm using the stonehenge recipe and the stone tablet recipe to make an altar to the eldritch gods of Animal Crossing up on one of the tallest cliffs, the rest I use for flower breeding and just keep it a bit wild for bug spawns and lots of trees for if I need tons of wood. It does make finding my daily furniture trees a bit difficult though :p

I've done some terraforming and moved my house to be right by them. I've also got a few hybrids growing up there

Haha Oorchid XD You don't want any yellow flowers? Why? Well my town is going to be mostly yellow I think XD

Oh my gosh Rytlocknroll! That sounds crazy! Would love to see a screenshot of it when it is complete! I hope you get an octopus villager too that walks around up there XD (Also love your username btw!)

As far as terraforming goes, when I get it, here is what I plan to do with my cliffs, and town.

I really want a flat town, but since some fish can only spawn in cliffs, I'll settling for a town that is mostly cliffs. Since RS can't be moved, I can be all cliff either.

I'll be putting an orchard up to the East. I have my house surrounded by cliffs where I plan to put a bunch of cedar trees to make it feel like I'm in the mountains. :D

My museum will be up there.

Along with some of the villager homes.

There’s going to be a zen garden, a picnic area, a ramp leading to the secret beach, and a secret project.

And who knows what else. Thinking of making a concert stage up there.

I dug up all the flowers and moved them to the ground level areas. I guess I will build some ramps soon? I believe I unlocked that option yesterday.

Is there anything that can only be done at higher elevations? I assume it's best to leave some for the fishing spots at the waterfall and higher elevation?

This looks fantastic. I am in the same boat, if not for the fish only spawning on cliffs, whole town would be flat. Feels beachier to me..

I found lillies and pine trees!

Although once I unlock terraforming I'm going to break them down and make some cool secluded waterfalls with them and other secret spots within my town
