What holidays would you like representation for in ACNH?

I guess maybe legitimate Easter? I mean they do bunny day...
it'd be cool if they had Easter but since not everyone who plays the game is a christian a lot of people would be left out.... so meh

Not sure how they’d implement it, but it would be interesting to have some references, if not an event for Islam and other religions. I personally just want events that give us more furniture or diys. Aside from that, I can’t think of any other “holiday” that I’d want for an event.

Also biased but seconding this motion anyway. Imagine how cute the items would be. I stopped playing ACPC ages ago, but items like the ones below really made me yearn for them in NH. (There are other examples within ACPC that are applicable/more fitting, but I digress.)

Bring back the stuff they got rid of in WW.

  • Boys'/Girls' Festivals might be good for the rest of the world to be introduced to. And there's gender equality.
  • Bright Nights might work. Would provide a pretty setting on the island too.
  • The WW Flower Fest would be beautiful on an island setting.
  • Groundhog Day might actually work. No reason why they can't let the rest of the world take part, either.
  • La-Di-Day was lame and a festival that, to be honest, you didn't really want to partake in. So that can stay where it is, thank you very much. No-one asked for it, and no-one particularly wanted it, either.
  • Morning Aerobics could be a right laugh. It could actually work with the island setting of NH, too.
  • Sale Day, the AC equivalent of Black Friday, could do well too.
  • Sports Fairs are amazing. This should be brought back sooner rather than later.
  • The Summer Solstice would be nice too.
 
I want the gamecube events back, like the sports festival and morning aerobics. Even though that second one isn't really a holiday lol
 
I'd love a Grandparents Day.

It's celebrated in some countries. My residents' grandparents can visit and spend a day together. It'd be fun. I'm most interested in meeting Claude and Zucker's grandmas. It could be the one day when we can see our villagers getting hugged. :eek::love:

great suggestions!

having the sports fair and morning aerobics back would be great for jocks to actually be jocks. and you know, have some actual events where you're participating with the villagers so it feels like a community. we don't have that anymore since the bug off & fishing tourney isn't really a competition with the villagers anymore. (edit: i forgot we'll have halloween & toy day, but haven't experience it yet on acnh)

sale day made me remember how there were sales on ACNL mall. that was a bit exciting. i love a good sale anyway. they need to release an update with a new store upgrade ASAP.
 
I'd love to have more secular holidays/fun days that everyone could celebrate. Like tell a joke day and your villagers each have a joke for you, or pajama day where everyone wears PJs all day, "cousins" day and Redd comes with a free painting, etc. I'd love little small cute days like this!

i wonder if people from nintendo team are actually suggesting ideas like this smh.
picnic day, PJ's day, beach day, exchange gift day. whatever. any events that involve the villagers tbh.
i keep seeing from lot of tbt members complaining about villager dialogues, while that doesn't really bother me (i think acnl suffered from that too. repetitive and a LOT of requests) it's kinda sad that we see villagers finally have hobbies and such, but there was really no improvement whatsoever with villager interactions. if anything even hide & seek & villager house visits, they have removed. :(

in short: community part of the game seems very lacking. it could be changed by bringing back events or new holidays. acnh seems to be all about design.

True! Little events like these could be an easy way to expand our interactions with villagers and provide new interactions many people are looking for! If there was a fun day each month, even if it was only for one day, it would be something new to look forward to at least!

one of the things that excites you to play ac is when there is something new. because it's such a repetitive game in general (morning dailies, checking stores & NPC's etc), we get an exciting feeling opening the game when it's a new month, or there's a new NPC (diving/pascal/gullivarr/fireworks). right now for example i notice people are bored with villager interactions, they add new items & events we already had from previous games but nothing outside of that. so adding little new stuff here & there to look forward to will be neat. doesn't matter if some people won't like, to me, there's gonna be a little bit of something for everyone if they choose to expand or bring something new.

to people reading this: i mean they do give us updates, don't get us wrong they add stuff. we're not saying they don't, but i find that when the month is nearing its end people are always looking forward to the next update announcement lol
 
Would be cool if we got more out of summer- and winter solstice than just an item. There are a lot of interesting customs across Europe.
