In the last many AC games, the gameplay landscape was in 2D (south = front, west = left, east = right, north = back). All houses and buildings were facing one way. What if they made a huge change to that and put our maps in 3D (like how the Animal Crossing track was in Mario Kart)? Even if they don?t make this change, I wouldn?t be surprised to see an overhaul that tosses traditional features away like Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey did.

I would like to see that change. It would make my AC village look like a real village if that happens. That would make spaces change a lot though.

I would at least like to be able to change buildings' directions at 90 degree intervals. Maybe not full 360 degree movement. I doubt that we will get full camera control ever in this series (just not in the style, although it would be welcomed), so maybe not allowing buildings to be fully backwards would be good too otherwise we wouldn't be able to see the door, haha.

If it's 3D, I'd like it to be like The Legend of Zelda: the Wind Waker HD in terms of graphics. Outset island always felt like it could be an Animal Crossing town to me.

I don't know if I'd like that, to be honest. I don't think every game needs to be open-world ala Skyrim. Part of the charm in Animal Crossing for me is the simplicity.

Hm, I'd like to see the town from all angles, but dunno if I want full 3d.

I'm not expecting it, but I would love it. Just make it like the AC track in Mario Kart.

I'd just like it to look like the track in MK8 or how it looked like in Isabelle's Smash trailer.

I'm not sure... I'm very conflicted. I feel like it would allow much more creativity, but that could also be an issue. If you didn't put enough time or creativity into your town the game could end up looking very unappealing. That's just my opinion. I'm sure Nintendo could do a lot to quell my fears but it's Nintendo so I wouldn't have my hopes very high.

I'm a little torn. Ever since BOTW I've felt spoiled and hope every game I play is as open and beautiful. But that type of evinronment isn't the best for every type of game. I don't really know what I want from it, or what I'm expecting, but I think Nintendo will knock it out of the park. They know how to make games better than I do haha so Im just gonna trust them.

I would rather it isn't. Maybe it could end up looking really good, but I think it would be changing a little too much for my liking. Plus, the time spent developing this could perhaps be put to better use somewhere else. I imagine implementing a feature like this would require quite a bit of work. If given the choice, I would much rather have more features than "New Leaf but 3D this time".

I honestly don't want it to be 3d, I much prefer the way the camera has worked through the whole series

I think being able to adjust the camera a little bit would be fun (just 1-axis rotation) but I don't think I would really enjoy anything other than the typical top down.

Same. The MK8 AC course was always my favorite because of how amazing it looks and if the new
game would be inspired by it, then I would be really happy. The way it looked in the Smash trailer
was also pretty good.

I'm not sure if they would go full 3D and if it would also look or work good. I guess they just stick
with how it is. But I don't mind if they would try something new, as long as it works of course.

I'd like to just see a camera overhaul. Instead of just looking up, you could look closer to your character, outwards to see a good chunk of your village, and the ability to turn the camera left and right.
Also, I really hate the rolling perspective. I'd like it more like the game cube, but faced a bit down so you can see a bit of the sky.

There's a video called 'Animal Crossing Make Believe' which has exactly what I'm saying.

Also a photo/spectator mode, kind of like Super Mario Odyssey, Spiderman for the PS4, and maybe like Fortnite? Idk...

I wouldn't be able to play it, since Im really sensitive to 3D graphics ;-; They sometimes trigger my epilepsy

I wouldn’t be able to play it either because I reaaally struggle with simulator sickness. The whole follower/leader multiplayer thing already makes me nauseous if I’m a follower because the camera doesn’t move smoothly/the way I expect. Any more camera tricks and it would be very difficult to play lol
