I was playing with the game of The Legend of Zelda : the Wind Waker on my Wii U today after purchasing the physical version. This is the best damn looking game I've played in my life.
And I thought to myself : Wow this is exactly what the next Animal Crossing should look like. To me, Animal Crossing was always set in a cartoonish world with vibrant colours (talking animals) and a joyful atmosphere.
It struck me with a baseball bat on the head when I came upon a bush right outside my grandma's house. THIS IS IT ! This is exactly the way Nintendo EAD Team 2 should strive for : cell-shaded Animal Crossing
I was never a fan of the rolling view introduced in Wild World and I think a closer view point would fit the game nicely. Also, controlling the camera with the second joystick would be nice.
I'll link a video of the Wind Waker HD so you guys can take a better look at it (scroll to 12m20s for gameplay footage showing the village).
Overlook the fact that it's in German. I don't understand the language at all either. All I'm hearing is his obsession with ending every phrase he spurrs with '*****'
