I know it's a cruel thing to bring up but...
What if Animal Crossing for Nintendo Switch wasn't mentioned at E3 2019?
How would you react? How would you feel?

Allow me to answer myself...
I will simply start an online riot in every social media. I will write angry tweets for a whole week with all CAPS on, to every Nintendo account I know. I will cry myself to sleep. I will look for a new game to look after to. I will die alone and sad. I will hate Nintendo forever for making us suffer and wait this long.

Sorry for being extra but I'm really looking forward to this game, I Google it every hour, I read tweets about it almost every night before I sleep...
Back to you...

How would you feel?

Don't put this evil on us. We've done our waiting. Twelve years of it. In Azkaban! We deserve this announcement!!!!

But it has to. I feel they were on last year's E3. But couldn't fit it in due to smash/they didn't want the Smash hype to be drowned out by AC Switch.

By now, there's nothing that can drown out the hype of AC Switch so its pretty much guaranteed to show at this year's E3.

Nintendo has a history of taking their time when it suits them to do so. I felt like Nintendo strung us along just like this when we were waiting for ACNL. For example, releasing it in Japan in November of 2012, and not in the US until June of 2013? Whew. That was TOUGH, especially as we watched Japanese gameplay all those months, as Japanese players discovered everything about ACNL and showed it to us on youtube and other online sites for month after month, yet we could not play the game ourselves. So anyway, I guess my point is that I have begun to expect long delays from Nintendo. It doesn't mean they are mean or evil or bad; it's just how they do things when it comes to new Animal Crossing games. I guess worldwide release of such a popular game takes time, and also I think it's understandable that Nintendo, a Japanese company, might have wanted Japanese fans to be the first to play ACNL.

Honestly, I would be super thrilled if it was included in Nintendo's E3 presentations, but I don't expect it. I won't be disappointed if it is not mentioned. I'll just keep playing ACNL.

P.S. - - I also don't expect that I will have this game in my Switch in 2019. There are so many things that could happen to delay it. In a fit of optimism I bought a Switch (for this game) back in December, but I won't get upset unless it is still not released by the summer of 2020.

My attitude is that getting angry and crying hurts nobody but the angry, crying person. Nintendo just keeps doing what they do and getting angry and crying doesn't do anything to change that.

Another P.S. - - having said all this, I must admit that I listened to probably 20 youtubes about the possible Nintendo Direct on the 11th, this morning. LOL

?Fill in the blank of your favorite franchise. Our mentality will be we'll announce information close to its launch date versus teasing people for years on end.? - Reggie Fils-Aime on IGN 2018 interview.

I don't think they would have announced it in 2018, if it's not coming 2019. Reggie said it himself that they will announce information close to its launch. So... I think if Animal Crossing for Nintendo Switch wasn't mentioned in E3 2019, I will definitely be disappointed, because it's almost half year passed and no new updates about the game or even an official name. which means the opposite what he said in the interview. My guess if it wasn't mentioned in E3 2019, it's either there will be Animal Crossing Direct that will follow E3 2019 or it's delayed to 2020 for real.

We will find out after almost 62 days.
If we are so lucky, they will include a teaser at least in their upcoming spring Nintendo Direct (if there is one).

I mean it's totally within the realm of possibility that it gets delayed to 2020. Even if it's shown at E3, they can still end the trailer as they always have when a game has gotten delayed by telling the audience that they need a little more time. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it slipped to spring 2020.

I always felt that the whole reason that they even announced it when they did was to stave off the whiners when they announced Isabelle, and the fact that they haven't shown it off yet kinda suggests that was the case. Afterall, we only went 3 months between the Smash tease and the E3 blowout. Right now we are at 7 months and absolutely nothing regarding Animal Crossing, not even leaks. Granted Smash is a much bigger deal than Animal Crossing and Nintendo has a ton more content lined up for this year compared to last, so they may not feel particularly pressured to drop the bomb right now.

Pleasantly surprised if it makes it this year, but not surprised if it slips into 2020. Even without Animal Crossing, the second half of this year is absolutely jam packed with Switch games to play so its absence won't be missed too much.

Also, do not do anything that you mentioned in the OP. It's just a video game and delays are part of the grand picture. If you can't accept it and act like a civil human being over such things, then you need to find another hobby.

I think I'd be a little upset if it's not mentioned at E3? I feel like they should because of how much has been drummed up for it now and how many people are begging for this game to at least be shown off a little bit, and I feel like it would be cruddy for Nintendo to just kind of disappoint people. Even if the game is delayed to 2020 I think people would appreciate finally being able to see how the game will look would be a massive hype up to a game that's already super hyped up for.
Also I agree with Blue, games take time and freaking out that badly about a game not being announced is a little extreme? I would rather have a finished and wonderful product that I had to wait for than another Little Big Planet 3 or Sonic 06, games do take time and it's always good to wait on it instead of putting pressure on the devs to make the game as quick as they can.

Agreed, I don't want to see rushed up game just to meet the deadline or to satisfy the fans, the least they can do is feed us with new content to help the wait. Being silent for 7 months period is a lot. I was joking about the online riot thingy, relax.

If we get a huge info dump before E3 (or even a surprise release before then), I could very much see no info present at E3. This year, however, if Animal Crossing has not had a huge Direct beforehand and/or is not released, it's almost certain that we'll see something. Animal Crossing is one of their most anticipated titles that span across all genders and age ranges. I can't see them skipping out on providing information for it. How much information though could range from several minutes of discussion to nothing more than a short 60 second trailer.

Call me pessimistic, but if we're aiming for a summer or fall release, I feel we would have gotten something by now. I do think we'll get something from E3 (and maybe this whole Tax Day thing), perhaps a trailer? I'm fully expecting the game at Q4 now since we're currently in Q2. I wouldn't even be surprised if it got pushed back into 2020. Things just seem a little too quiet for a game supposed to release this year.

My prediction is probably early-December 2019.

Regardless, I'd rather have a finished game on time than a game Nintendo rushed to put the finishing touches on because they were forced to announce something (AC:Switch because of Isabelle in Smash) and then pigeon-holed themselves into a release date.

If there is absolutely no mention at E3, and no other previous mention of the game, I might just give up hope for a 'slated 2019' release.

Plus I'm double waiting because I want to see if there is an AC styled Switch or bundle pack. Otherwise I would be playing Smash, Go Vacation, HM and BotW by now.

It would be very disappointing, given that the game is scheduled for release this year.

"shake a tree in excitement" and then take that tree and take it to Nintendo headquarters and say remember this...we do

Remember how we struggled with Animal Crossing New Leaf? Hopefully this time will be different.

Same, I don't think it is still mean't for 2019 release if they went quite about the game even after E3 2019. Bummer...

Suggest more games to play on Switch, to help the wait.

It?s Tax Day...
Why did they tweet about Tax Day on a regular day & not tweet about it on Tax Day itself, do you get me?

Because normal adults that had yet to file their taxes for 2018 may have needed a reminder to do so before the deadline, which was today. The 15th. The deadline.

So yes, its so they can pay their taxes before Tom Nook kicks their booty.

Well of course I?d be sad. And maybe a bit angry lmao. Especially if we don?t get anything at all on E3. Last year people already hoped of AC and it didn?t get announced. Now for 2019 they?ve announced it but we still got nothing at all. Not even a trailer and it?s almost May! So, if there won?t be any news at E3 I?d be so disappointed.
At this point I don?t understand their marketing strategy either. With Reggie retiring and animal crossings 18th anniversary an AC direct would have been PERFECT. But it?s strange that they completely ignored it.

In the end, there?s nothing we can do except wait and hope for any news. I agree with Mr Miyamotos statement: a delayed game will be eventually good but a rushed game is forever bad. But fcs, give we SOME information nintendo!

So I was reading Twitter, I saw this...
rsz_img_5777.jpg
Then I asked her for the source, she simply said... "Google"
I was like... GURL! you can't relay on Google.
After that I saw this...
rsz_img_5776.jpg
Then I asked her for the source, she said it was removed from the "Coming Soon" section in Nintendo website
I checked... it was true, it has been removed, and not only Animal Crossing, Luigi's Mansion 3 as well.
only on the Nintendo US website.

but when I checked Nintendo UK website, it was all there, both of them.

I think it's a preparation for E3 2019 or something... God only knows.

To be honest, at this point all I do when I hear “animal crossing switch” is laughing hysterically .
