seems like the only way being talked about right now is hitting them with nets but ive been doing that for days (TT) and this pork is still on my island sipping her damn tea.

that's a lie your honor. they probably just got lucky but it's not necessarily 100% certain they'll move out if you ignore them or keep hitting them. my friend tried this to one of the rats, another one moved out still. so i think it's still random. apple, who i talk to all the time & even give her gifts and medicine was the first one to think of moving out. i won't say it's the same as new leaf, but we'll find out soon if there's any tricks.

Don't hit them with nets. That's demeaning. And besides, it does NOT get them to leave any faster. The game will randomly choose a villager (but not the last one arrived if it's been less than a certain amount of time) and that villager will tell you it's thinking of moving. You can then encourage or the villager to leave or not. You cannot in any way influence who will think about leaving first. That's random. So please, behave and stop putting your villager through misery, you big bully.

maybe it’s like it was in new leaf where the higher your friendship is, the more likely it is they’ll want to move out. so maybe instead of ignoring or hitting them, try to raise your friendship with them?

I’ve heard something to the effect that if you complain about the same villager to Isabelle for 3 days in a row it will force them out. Has anyone tried this and can they confirm?

There are no for sure ways to get a specific villager out from TT'ing. The best you can do is to ignore the villager until their time comes--hitting with nets, reporting to Isabelle, etc. does nothing to speed up the process. The only for sure way to get someone to move out is to utilize an amiibo to force them out.

I’d really like to know this too honestly. I can’t get Beardo out to save my life. I’m up to 10 villagers, anyone know how often they ask to move? I’ve only ever had two tell me and I just TTed a week (day by day) and NOBODY has asked so far.

This isnt true at all.

bullying villagers because they're ugly is fun kids, get yer nets out! :)

in all seriousness, i hope there's some trick to it. Best thing I can do is just ignore the undesirable.

I wish there was a feature where you could bury villagers alive and then a patch of mushrooms grew lmao

Maybe you could try pushing them?

I was experimenting earlier to see if villagers could go down to the airport area. So I tried pushing Gladys down there...but then she responded back with a shocked expression and said something like "I don't appreciate being pushed around".

Of course I felt terrible because I like Gladys so I gave her some Peaches as a peace offering. :p

abusing your ugly animals is a time-honoured tradition, but I don't think it has ever helped to abuse them in any way. be it giving them rotten food in the hopes of poisoning and killing them, hitting them over their head to try and cause brain damage or generally assaulting them. of course, I still love to do all these things to them - it causes me great joy in fact - but just be warned it does basically nothing in terms of getting them to go away, no matter how hard you try or how hard you beat them over the head

don't take that out of context

Hmm that guide is super helpful! Thank you for posting it!
I haven't been TTing more than 1 day forward at a time when I'm super done with a day, and I always go back to real time.

Does anyone know about potential ramifications/consequences of TTing 15+ days forward in time?

I tried it, can confirm it doesn’t work :-(

I spent a couple hours TTing 15+ days at a time and ended up moving out about 4 villagers yesterday, and the only negative ramifications were that weeds started to grow and I had to pick them all up.
Unlike in New Leaf, villagers in New Horizon will not move out unless they've run it by you first. So we won't have any more cases where your dreamie accidentally moves out while time travelling.

Honestly, if it bothered me that much, I'd just invest in some Amiibo cards to force people I don't like out. Way better experience than time-traveling 15 days at a time and messing around with my town.

Is this confirmed? They really won't move unless you tell them to?
