what is your favorite dessert (and why)?

Anything with chocolate destroys my inhibitions, but tiramisu goes beyond even that.
I mean, it's 2am and all I had to do was think about the word Tiramisu to get amped up and ready to go to the store.

Key lime pie is my favourite, followed by tres leches. I also like anything chocolate.

Oh, I have some favorites, but I'm not sure if you guys know any of them (other than the last one on the list):

- Condensed milk pudding
- Brigadeiros
- Quindim
- Torta Holandesa (it has nothing to do with Holland, I don't know why it has this name, but it's of Brazilian origin)
- Cheesecake covered by raspberry jam

i like cheesecake and carrot cake, but i'm picky so it has to be a specific kind. the carrot cake can't have raisins in it, or any nuts on the icing. the local bakery did the perfect kind, but i don't know if they're open anymore since i haven't been there in a while. for cheesecake, i've had some that are hit and some that are miss. i recently just bought cups of toffee cheesecake which are alright, but they're also very sickly. they taste a bit better when you mix it all up.
Oh, yes, carrot cake! But I think the one you're mentioning is kinda different than the ones we have here in Brazil.

Ours look like this (it's incredibly good)

Every time I pass by bakery shops, I walk inside just to admire the richness of colors, shapes, textures, and flavors that they have to offer in their desserts. I am allergic to eggs so no exquisite, mouth-watering, heavenly-light pastries for me. Thankfully, I am more of a “spice” than a “sugar” person so I don’t feel too bad about it.But I do have my sweet weakness! I love chocolates! The darker the better (think >80% cocoa).I feel that white chocolates are blasphemy. They are not real chocolate! And milk chocolates are for babies that can’t handle the bitterness of real chocolate.Nothing beats the kick and stimulation of a bitter bar of dark chocolate! The chocolate snob in me refuses to eat milk chocolates but I do enjoy my occasional KitKats and MilkyWay. Ever since I start working, I find myself eating a lot more chocolate than I used to back home. Not my fault that every office administrator keeps a bowl filled with chocolates at their desks for all to eat. My colleagues and their sugar obsession is well-known and I’m trying really hard not to fall in that trap.

Another will be Milk roll! This one smells like milk, no surprise, but feels in a weird way (still delicious by the way). I tried to find a similar taste but more well-known dessert to give you an idea, but I couldn’t find any. It’s hard to describe the taste, but the not to sweet yet creamy and milky smell do make me crave for it non-stop!

Double skin milk. It originates from Shunde, Guangdong, China. It’s said that it was created by accident by a farmer in the late Qing dynasty. You can choose a different kind of tops, like red bean, mango, Oreo, etc. I first taste this in Hong Kong way back in 2015 and til today, due to the pandemic and unable to travel, I couldn't find another similar taste because the milk in my country wasn't as fragrance as that. The recipes is easy to make but the main ingredient is really good quality milk.

How much I wish wonder that I can enjoy all the best dessert in the world without worrying about weight gaining and health!

I have a sweet tooth as well, so I have a few:
-thumbprint jam cookies
-macarons
-white layer cake with strawberries, especially if it has jam inbetween the layers... <3
-Pistachio icecream, or any other ice cream with walnuts/pecans/almonds in it
-lemon cookies
-dark chocolate bars with orange, cranberry, or mint

I also love a good, rich slice of chocolate cake on occasion.

I think I'd have to say that my favorite dessert is pumpkin roll. As for why, I dunno, I'm horribly predictable in that I really like pumpkin food and drinks and pumpkin roll's just the one I like the most from what I've had.

My other favorite would probably have to be red velvet cake. Both pumpkin roll and red velvet feature cream cheese frosting, so that probably has something to do with it.
