I disagree. While she offers nice prices, she does make a profit. Let's face it: she has an unlimited supply of everything. How is that possible? Thirty people can ask to buy (insert any unorderable set or item here) and everyone gets it? People with shops like that use powersaves, which is against the rules because they're earning TBT. But since they don't admit it, The Powers That Be let it slide. I ordered from those types of shops during my first month on the forum, but not anymore. I'm not knocking people who do, but it isn't fair to say that those shops are following the rules.
I mostly look at threads where people are selling or trading collectibles.

Still, that could be fake.
I know Enders ran a test on a few items from ime_rbs and they were real.

And I'm not even sure they're (all) duped items. I think a lot of it is done with powersaves. Someone sells the items, then uses the powersave to get the items back in their town, and then they sell again to the next person. It's just funny that the OP used HM_Caprica as an example of someone who makes no profit when she currently has 14,000 TBT! Even selling cheap will earn you mad TBT when you sell the same items over and over for months on end.
Also, I wouldn't consider Enders a "reliable source."

This is definitely something I've been wondering about.
I've asked Caprica where she gets all of her inventory, and she said from another website.
And it's funny, too, since she's made the most TBT I've ever seen in such a small amount of time from selling in-game stuff.
But... I've hoarded a lot in my town, so I know all the tips and tricks for storage, and I don't see how she can have multiples of any item in the game without selling dupes or having multiple towns :/
I mean, she could have one town for TT-ing and collecting event stuff/rare and selling it, but she even seems to have infinite DLC so I don't know anymore. For all we know she might just be good at getting stuff from other sites and selling it.
Either way, I honestly can't trust anyone selling stuff with big 'infinite-stock' stores, which is why I usually just buy stuff from mini or temp shops in Re-Tail. At least I know there's a greater chance of having legit items for sale.

;o; TBT is literally one of the few AC sites that don't promote cheating/hacking/duping
That's why I joined in the first place; and it's also why these infinite-stock shops kinda upset me
You don't, unless you constantly TT and do the events for them, but not all events are in one region, so I don't honestly see how it's possible. And I believe you. There's been shops with seemingly infinite stock since I joined. They're bound to pop up no matter what you say or do.
The reason is because the mods don't have actual evidence or proof that they're cheating/hacking/duping, and unless there's proof (besides it being stated by the OP), they won't do a thing.
:/ The only thing you can do is to just avoid shops that you think dupe/powersave items or bells. And I mean, anymore, you don't really know if any item or amount of IGB you receive from anyone on here is legit anymore. Someone might've hacked 'em, and resold them thinking they're legit.

I like all the shops that have every item in the game. I'm still missing a lot of items. Like art, and Dlc.
